I thought a maester was a medical thing? Isn't it maester's that normally fix people up?

Is he? Is that based on something?

Yeah makes sense. They sped that up fairly quickly which is good :thumbsu: it's just really the grandma left from the Tyrell's now right?

That's one of the areas of knowledge they learn, yes. But don't you remember all the Maester's advising their Lords? Pycelle doesn't sit in the small council room putting band-aids on the other advisors!

The prophecy in the first episode of last season.

It is.

Ahh yeah, valid I guess. So Sam is learning the theory behind how to defeat the white walkers, rather than the physically training to beat them?

I really need to rewatch these. Don't remember that at all.

Exactly. He'll be reading up on what materials fight them - obviously dragonglass (obelix) and Valeryan steel do the trick, but figuring out the other things they can use will be important.

The prophecy goes that Cersei will have three children who will die before her, and that her brother will kill her.

It is not wrong.

How did you watch those two episodes and not appreciate the beautifully perfect meld of cinematography, musical scoring, director, acting, script, and effects?
Exceptional end to the season. Now we wait for 10 long months...

Yeah fair enough. Was a bit disappointed the white walkers didn't feature in the season finale.

Ahh yes, I know what you're talking about. Remember the kid thing, didn't remember the brother thing. Reckon she'll be ultra careful around him next season now.

Yeah fully expected the Wall to come down to end the ep.

The brother thing might be only in the books, not sure, but you can still tell that's how it's going down. She's the Mad Queen now, and unleashed the very thing Jaime ruined his reputation trying to prevent (the Mad King using Wild Fire).

Thing is, where does Jaime go now? It's gotta be murder-suicide with Cersei. He has no friends left.

Yeah I think thats the only way he can go now. Looks odds on to happen. I guess he could perhaps reunite with Tyrion at a stretch?

Any chance he kills Cersei and reunites with Tyrion under Dany? They did have that brotherly connection.

That would work out right up until someone calls him Kingslayer and Dany remembers where that name came from.

Haha see previous post:

Dany has conceded he was in fact mad though. Probably could go either way.

It's still her father, I would think she'd have something to say about his dishonourable murder. Regardless of her opinion of his ability to rule. Jaime killed his king. That's not something you forgive.

Yeah maybe. I reckon her character is further developed at that but there's no real way of knowing I guess.

Either way, it'll be very interesting.

You think the lady who uses her dragons to torch her enemies and has given up on a safe, developed society in Mereen for a kingdom she has never lived in before is beyond killing the man who killed his king? :P

Oh I definitely get that aspect but she's also got a softer side from time to time. Plus, being the brother of the new hand of the queen might hold some weight.

Glad they set her on her way to KL. They really needed to, otherwise the Lannister storyline would have slowed right up.

SM many could say the same about Fargo and BB, and think they are correct, too.

In your opinion. I think the awards and accolades GoT, as well as the overwhelming mass popularity of the show tells the tale of the tape though.

The show is simply ridiculous in what it achieves on the silver screen. The 9th episode of this season had battle sequences far superior to anything I've seen in movies.

Yeah the Lannister storyline is virtually finished. Amazing that she's essentially Queen of King's Landing. Literally no one recognises her as the ruler of Westeros.

I think he's primarily basing that opinion on the production quality which was like a cinematic epic for these past two episodes and is definitely in a league of it's own in that regard. It was excellent television but I would say these two episodes were the most spectacular rather than the best if that makes sense.

Sure there's that element, but I'd argue the writing, cinematography, and musical scoring have also been incredible, and will easily see both episodes sweep the Emmys.
