Doesn't have to be one or the other, i love plenty of US comedies just as much as British ones (including both versions of the Office).

Either way, Arrested Development is still the best comedy of all time.

But you laugh at how cringeworthy it is! Like with the British Office, perfect example. I do quite enjoy it but cringe all the same. Inbetweeners too.

I don't mind some sitcoms like HIMYM, Friends, Will & Grace etc. but for comedies in the mold of The Office, Community etc. I prefer the Brits.

Cant stand sitcom rubbish like HIMYM and Friends and Will & Grace. Hate the current flavour of the month too, that Modern Family show.

Not a fan of the canned laughter but with HIMYM you don't really notice it after a while and it's a decent enough show with a pretty dodgy ending. Had a mate who loved the show who didn't believe me when I said it had canned laughter actually haha.

Community I absolutely love. Even the shitter Community I still love. The first two seasons in particular are genius. Scrubs was alright.

The English do comedy better. Apart from Seinfeld it's all English for me. Office, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, The Inbetweeners etc etc

You'd enjoy Hello Ladies. Unfortunately cancelled after only one season but I loved it.
