It really depends on your generation a lot and the influences at home you grew up with.

Definitely a great album. I think it made Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time.

Destroys all the dross that comes out today.

I think people say rubbish like this to sound edgy and with it when it comes to music. There is plenty of good music that gets released these days.

Elbow are fantastic. Guy Garvey's voice is absolutely incredible. Saw them live at Capitol like 5 years ago. Just gorgeous. Remember it being his birthday and someone brought a cake. He was stoked.

They'd be my favorite band, grew up listening to my father's records of them and now doing the same with my son (streaming it over YouTube for him to get into).

Slightly different methods of how we've beem introduced to it but still effective, their music is timeless.
