Out of curiosity, can you name me what you regard as five other great albums?

Here's five from me:
Revolver - Beatles
Led Zeppelin II
Sticky Fingers - Stones
Every Picture Tells a Story - Rod Stewart
The Colour of Spring - Talk Talk

It really depends on your generation a lot and the influences at home you grew up with.

I couldn't do a 'top 5' as I just love my music so much. I've tried to do a top 25 in no particular order allowing myself only one album per artist.

1. Beaste Boys - Licenced to ill

2. Arcade Fire - Reflektor

3. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

4. Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

5. Cloud Nothings - Attack on memory

6. Custard - Wisenheimer

7. Faith No More - The real thing

8. Foo Fighters - Self titled

9. Intercooler - Forever or whatever

10. Moby - Play

11. Modest Mouse - Good news for people who like bad news

12. Vampire Weekend - Self titled

13. Nirvana - Nevermind

14. Radiohead - The bends

15. Rage Against The Machine - Self titled

16. Reguritator - Unit

17. The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese dreams

18. Sonic Youth - Goo

19. The Strokes - Is this it

20. Tool - Undertow

21. Children Collide - Long now

22. Muse - Absolution

23. Ween - Chocolate and cheese

24. Weezer - Pinkerton

25. NOFX - Heavy petting zoo

Definitely a great album. I think it made Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time.

Destroys all the dross that comes out today.
I think people say rubbish like this to sound edgy and with it when it comes to music. There is plenty of good music that gets released these days.

Ooh top 5 albums?

1. Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - Arctic Monkeys

2. Silent Alarm - Bloc Party

3. Costello Music - The Fratellis

4. Origin of Symmetry- Muse

5. Royal Blood - Royal Blood
But music these days is dross!

To be fair I'm not sure what jod was considering these days.

There's soooooo much good music still now. It might not be the most popular but there's still plenty of it.

Not many Elbow fans around.

Still love listening to Asleep in the Back.

Elbow are fantastic. Guy Garvey's voice is absolutely incredible. Saw them live at Capitol like 5 years ago. Just gorgeous. Remember it being his birthday and someone brought a cake. He was stoked.

I like them but I think I've just heard them so often that their stuff has lost their appeal.
Really? I can put on any Beatles song I like and still enjoy it immensely.

GUYS NEW FRIGHTENED RABBIT OMG. IT'S ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND HAUNTING. THIS HAS ACTUALLY MADE MY DAY.:thumbsu::fire::fire::fire::fire::eek::eek::cry::cry::cry:

Very good. Thank you good sir!

I still like them and can listen to them pleasurably, it's just I always prefer to hear something else I think.

I have so much adrenaline through my body right now. The singer is a lyrical genius.

Never knew they were Scottish.

Just got an acoustic of My Backwards Walk up. Quality.

Do you like Gaslight Anthem?

Not a huge fan, but liked a few of their songs back in the day.

Very easy music to get into I found, I liked their tone. Why Does It Always Rain On Me is a classic example.

Any Beatles fans here besides jod23 ?

These guys are brilliant.

They'd be my favorite band, grew up listening to my father's records of them and now doing the same with my son (streaming it over YouTube for him to get into).

Slightly different methods of how we've beem introduced to it but still effective, their music is timeless.

Definitely some of the most influential people of all time in any industry - and the most in the music industry.

What are your favourite Beatles tracks?
