Definitely hit me up with some links to those vids you are talking about. Would be really interesting to watch.

Luke getting over his Aunt and Uncle and joining Obi Wan was quick but it made sense. What was left for him on Tattooine and he always dreamt of going out into the galaxy. It seemed his only real choice, or at least the obvious one.

But Ani going over to the dark side was too forced, too sudden, too quick. You cant make huge decisions like that so quickly. It had to be a slow and steady fall. The story of Anakin's fall to the dark side would have been much better told over say a 12 episode season of a TV show. Where you have time to tell the story, and watch the character slowly fall to the dark side.

Did you say you have seen Red Letter Media's take on the prequels and you still enjoy them??

Not everything he altered was great - like he added in the Death Star actually charging its beam as it blew up which I hated - but 90% of the stuff he did repaired a lot of damage of Lucas and fixed old bugs that Lucas has never fixed. He's gone for a much less intrusive approach with ESB from the sound of things.

I guess I agree with you on Luke, but just using it as an example of a character having a huge swing of emotion within minutes.

Anakin's fall had been set up to an extent when you saw him struggling with his emotion when he killed Dooku, and then being denied a spot on the Council. Add to that the feeling that the Council was basically illegally trying to spy on the Chancellor, to the Jedi confronting and attempting to execute Palpatine, and you can understand it somewhat. (If you want to throw in the build up in both the Clone Wars show and the books you could too, but even ignoring that) it's not TOTALLY unbelievable. But his "What have I done" to "I will do your bidding" was a very quick transition.

Look a lot of hate goes out to George Lucas for ruining Star Wars but people have to remember that he gave us Star Wars first and foremost before ruining it. I love George Lucas, he just utterly and completely ****ed up the prequels. They are HORRIBLE.

I mean just in that video i posted, he talks about just the characters. Their is no protagonist. No Luke Skywalker in the prequels. Nobody for us to hold onto throughout the story. Also all the characters have no, well character. They cant describe Amidala or Qui Gon Jinn. Whereas you can come with tons of stuff to describe C3PO and Han Solo and tons of other characters in the original trilogy.

Haha that's great and very true. It might be this guy who at the end suggests how it should have been done? And suggests making Obi-Wan the main character and a few other things and it makes the movie A LOT better.

It's amazing how Portman and Neeson are generally seen as pretty good actors - McGregor too - and yet they're pretty awful in SW.

God that What if video is good. Streamlines the film, makes the movie about Obi Wan and Maul doesnt die but kills Qui Gon and then their is tension and a build up to another battle. Everything he says in that video is legit awesome. I wish the movie really was like that.
