You were kept in it by ridiculous umpiring decisions. About 3 atrocious 50 meter pens, FK's in front of goals. Time and again your lot were kept in it. Then were close enough to win it in the final quarter. We didnt help matters. We should have kicked straighter and we should have shut the game down with 10 mins to play up by 24 points.

Last quarter umpiring was average at best. Menzel throw, 2 soft 50s and Masten having his head ripped off in front of goal.

But the umpiring is always going to have moments like that.

1.8 becomes 2.7 in the last and we win.

People saying Simpson cant coach? We are 3-3, have beaten the teams we were expected to. 6 games and we already look better around the park than last year. Kick straight and we would be 5-1.

It's not his fault he's inherited a team with a bog average midfield.

And NicNat needs to be dropped to find form. Not having any impact at all in any parts of the game.

And Benell has been a standout since coming from Melbourne. Who would have thought that?

Benell has been fantastic. What's strange with Nic Nat is that as soon as he gets it, he looks in a panic and wants to get rid of the pill ASAP! Sometimes he has plenty of time to turn, attack, do something. But he just tries to get rid of it straight away. He is a good kick of the footy too.

Our midfield is slow and shit though.

But the umpiring was ****ing abysmal. It cost us the game.

NicNat needs to back and throw himself into every contest he can influence.

Doesn't bother me if we don't play finals. We are no match for the top team as shown by the Geelong game so we'd just be making up the numbers for the sake of it.

Improve our skills, work on a game plan and turn over the list. I think we'll finish anywhere from 9th to 13th.
