Look, you can all call me a bullshitter, but I have very good inside sources with word that next July Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool will all be travelling to Melbourne to play in a series of friendly matches. Similar to what happens in the USA at the moment. Manchester City are also a chance but at this stage it is those 3 mentioned. Bag me all you want, but I have very good inside sources that say it is looking very likely.

Australia doesn't have the money to pay them ALL to come (Well, they do, but it wouldn't be logical)
Australia doesn't have the population to make it viable for any of those teams to come more than once every 5 (more realistically 10) years.

Having said that. I wouldn't be shocked if we got Manchester City here every 2-3 year as part of a Heart-Man C-NYFC tri-way series.

Commentator called the Marcelo own goal about a second before he even touched it

SBS's more muted crowd noises was a bit off putting, couldn't hear the atomsphere probably

Also Muse sounds amazing live, they're good, but they have good choice in mics, too, with the kms 105

Definitely up there, was an incredible atmosphere for the last quarter. Buddy's 4th and 5th goals brought the house down.

No where near it.
It was just one of those games where 1 team is in control, you know they're gonna win, but the other team just wont die. They did make the last 5 minutes tense though. But that game had nothing on the old Swans-Eagles matchups.

And I agree with the commentators. The atmosphere was average at best. Only picked up when Sydney got on a little run. Their fans don't really try to pump up their team, they just cheer when Sydney score. Do they even know football?
