What are people's favourite movies?

My top 3 in no real order are:
The Fugitive
500 Days of Summer
The Usual Suspects.

Probably get cained for having 500 in there but I absolutely adore that movie. JGL is great, I love the script, the story, the soundtrack and some of the quotes are freaking amazing.

In terms of comedies though, Superbad is the funniest movie I've ever seen. Watched it with seven other mates and it came out when we were all 18, literally the funniest movie going experience ever. None of us stopped laughing the entire time.

Over to you, chaps.
Also a massive fan of 500, that's heavily influenced by the JGL being an architect and that awesome chalkboard wall he draws throughout.

How great is the film in general?

Love how far into their relationship is, is how well lit the buildings around the flicking numbers are.

The expectations and reality scene is the best of the movie for me.

Summer: I just... I just woke up one day and I knew.

Tom: Knew what?

Summer: ...What I was never sure of with you.

----

Tom: I need to know that you're not gonna wake up in the morning and feel differently.

Summer: And I can't give you that. Nobody can.

WOWWWWWWWW

500 is a great film and I can completely relate to what he goes through. ****ing women.

Fave movies of all time though. Their is simply too many. Too many categories too, I mean how can you compare Superbad to Alien or 500 Days of Summer to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I have to split it into many different categories, Comedy, Action, Action-Adventure (not to be mixed up with Action) Sci-Fi, Drama, RomCom, War.... the list goes on.

Reckon I've seen this about 8 times, not even exaggerating either.

Tom: What happened? Why - why didn't they work out?

Summer: What always happens. Life.

---

Summer: You weren't wrong, Tom. You were just wrong about me.

---

Tom: I love how she makes me feel, like anything's possible, or like life is worth it.

And finally, for such a simple quote, I love it -

Paul: Robin is better than the girl of my dreams. She's real.

Good to hear you're on board too, and sucks you went through that.

I agree, but those are the three that I would consistenly rank highly.

Love films like Shooter & Taken (rubbish plots, but action scenes are sick), I Love You Man is great, as is Step Brothers. Loved Wolf of Wall Street, can't forget Toy Story either. Bank Job is an awesome film too.

I haven't seen any of the Indiana Jones films, really need to get round to watching them. Plan on watching Insomnia today.

Is the book just the script?

RomCom would have to be Love Actually for me. Amazing movie.
So many storylines I just cant get into.
Only like David-Natalie, Sam-Joanna and the whole Billy Mack story.

I was sold on it as an 11 year old by Sam-Joanna because it was reminiscent of something I'd just gone through (liking a girl at that age, not expecting her to like me back, her liking me back) and then about five years ago I became much more aligned with the plot with (forget their names) the writer and the Portoguese girl (at the time I'd just gotten back from a Gap Year dating a Chilean woman), so I think what I love about the movie as a whole is that you can identify with different plots at different stages of your life.

I don't want to watch Love Actually anymore.
I really enjoy Sam, but his actor got killed off in GoT.
Makes me sad :(

Probably been long enough to talk about it, but still go easy on the GOT stuff.

He was also great in Doctor Who.

Cruyff14 how did the trivia adventure go?
It was OK, we were 10 points off the eventual winners.

Didn't really like it though, the host was a w***er and there was too much pissfarting around between rounds. Took 2hrs and 45mins to get through 5 rounds of questions ffs. He also awarded bonus points for bullshit, like best team name and all that. Won't be going back there!

You know any good places?

Given I'm in NSW, I doubt any of the places I know will be helpful for you.

That sucks. My guy is fantastic, has been doing it for 22 years or something similar so he knows his routine well! Two rounds of qs, while he marks round 1 he has a Famous Faces half-time game, has bonus qs throughout for jug of beer/bottle of win/etc. which are 'Who Am I's or 'Guess the Song From the First Line' etc. champion bloke too.

He's a Blades supporter so I pointed out - after he'd announced us the winners - our signing of Maguire last week. :D
