I didn't contradict myself. The north did vote out. The north isn't everywhere.

The largest population centres are in the south and voted remain.

It's like looking at a map of the US and saying everyone is a Republican.
The North voted out by a small margin. These Northern cities are some of the most multicultural cities in the world ffs.

Please provide the stats that say that more people in the south voted remain than leave.

It was a small win for leave, almost everywhere. Maybe if more londoners voted then things might have been different.

This whole thing is just a byproduct of democracy. People should respect others views even if they do not align with their own.

The north voted out by ridiculous margins in some places. A lot of northerners hate the fact there are so many Muslims in their areas.

I can respect views whilst still saying they're based on blatantly false beliefs. That's kinda the point of a discussion.

It is easier for us to identify it as we see it all the time.
look, if you were living here and held that view then i'd respectfully disagree. The North and South by and large voted out. There are always a few ******s. Trump, Pauline Hansen, that d/h in the video you posted. People who extrapolate one ****** to label a whole country would be offended if the Poms thought everyone in Australia had the views of Pauline Hansen.

yeah in some places, not all places. Some Northerners have that view, some southerners have that view, some Germans, some french, some italians, some australians also have these views but people aren't labeling these countries as xenophobic racists.

Blatantly false beliefs? c'mon mate, what beliefs are these. Maybe you should stop watching the news.

Maybe you should start. You're sounding like the utter moron who said people should stop listening to experts.

You're a smart guy, why don't you read some Thomas Picketty. He's smarter than anyone else in this whole debate by far.

Rather than watching the news who pick people out for interviews to suit an agenda, I actually listen to everyone. The debate on here is certainly more aggro than the debate in England. Everyone is pretty respectful of each others opinions.

I've been reading twitter, watching news reports, reading articles, and talking to people. Literally everyone in the office on Friday was shocked and upset at the result.

no offence mate, but i'd have thought the opinions over here are more relevant than whatever the people of Sydney think.

I suggest you look at the data and financial markets. The bias in this debate from those reporting it is significant (both ways).

You should also consider that the information provided to voters was absolutely ridiculous. It was very very difficult for voters to make an informed decision on the referendum.

Remain talked about WW3 and terrorism (and got laughed at) and lied about turkey and were led by a flog that nobody likes whilst Leave talked about candy, rainbows and sovereignty and were led by a loveable oaf.

Remain have nobody to blame but themselves. They should have pissed it in.

Piketty? The guy wanted remain and said leaving would be political suicide

And Boris Johnson is a "lovable oaf"? The guy's the British Donald Trump, an idiot and a liar and only people stupider than him would think him not a buffoon

Anyway I'm out, Brexit debate just demeans human intelligence in the way that it has happened, not even my problem coz it hardly affects me, the English's problem. Literally, coz they brought this upon themselves

Boris is American.

Boris Johnson is an idiot? lol you have nfi.

Eton then Oxford then European Correspondent in Brussels for the Times. I'm sure you are much smarter than Boris though Cooldude.

People on the remain side love Boris too. He's an opportunist and took a chance and won. He is highly intelligent. Your generalizations of the British people crash and burn once again.

I don't get what everyone is so surprised and angry about. Majority of voters don't like the world they live in and were given a vote to make a change. They've got a democratic right to do it. If life was so dandy in the UK and EUROPE before the vote most people wouldn't want a change, but it's not. Majority of poms didn't like where their future was heading so they made a call to leave. If that makes it worse at least they have themselves to blame, but in the future long run it won't be much different. The rich will stay rich and the poor stay poor and the middle class will remain a blip on the radar over there
