kroenke bought the land to build the stadium a couple of years ago which is why everyone knew it was a foregone conclusion. He spent a few bill on it too. Sorry Arsenal fans.

Amazing what you don't pay attention to when other things are going on. I've been keeping track of all the onfield stuff in the NFL to notice what's going on in the background, so that caught me out big time when I saw the NFL Board with the topic name.

Yeah, look at the shiny Hayne Plane, never mind the men with the Rams banners in the South posting up all over town.

That’s a fair point, I suppose there is that bias when a film does take place here (of course as an Aussie, that’s trickier to find a good Aussie film, but they’ve done some good efforts in recent times.)

One of the best Aussie films I can recall is Wolf Creek. Shit the pratognist in that was just about the most loathsome, ****ed up, scary bloke I think I've seen in film. Far more so than any character from the Saw or Hostel franchises.

Why are they mutually exclusive? Why can't someone's favourite movie be one that is good entertainment?
"Entertainment" is probably the wrong word to be fair - because any top film whether it be a simple action film or something like Citizen Kane is going to "entertain" you in some form.

I'm just making the point that citing films such as Die Hard as one of the top 10 of all time is pretty funny. I don't know what more to say, if you don't agree with that, that's fine.

some films are hilarious and re-watchable (I've probably seen Old School 100 times as i watched it when i got home drunk with 3 other housemates as a 20 year old every Saturday night). I watched Pulp Fiction a lot as a kid too. Some films are really deep and memorable but you can't really watch them regularly (taxi driver, blood diamond).

I think it's a difference in our view of what a favourite movie is.

I enjoyed Shawshank Redemption but I'd watch Scott Pilgrim heaps of times before watching Shawshank again even though it is a "better" movie.

Yeah this is basically what I was trying to say.

Yeah I get that - to be honest you're not gonna stick on 2001 with your mates for entertainment purposes. Those sort of films I like to watch alone anyway. Yes and the rewatchability is a lot less. I've probably only seen 2001 3 or 4 times. They are still better films though for me. Action films are like your Burger Kings and McDonald's of the restaurant world. You enjoy them for what they are, and go to them more often than you would a 3 or 4 star Michelin restaurant.

I like LOTR but it definitely has not aged well comparing to the CGI techniques today, loads of the old age smoke and mirrors trickery with camera angles and shit, it was great then but definitely stick out like a sore thumb nowadays
Disagree. Seems fine when I watch them.

Heavyweights are shit. That's why they rarely get PPV money. They don't even try. The Klitschko's have ruined the sport in the heavyweight division. I'd pay good money to watch a young Lennox Lewis now. He'd destroy those absolute frauds.
I like Joshua though, he reminds me of a young Lennox Lewis. Just watched Joshua's latest fight where he defended his IBF title against Breazeale. Then watched the Klitschko/Fury fight and it's worlds apart.

Fury doesnt look like he can hurt anyone. He's so cumbersome and fights with one hand by his side the whole time. Joshua fights with both hands up, has an extremely quick jab and huge power. If Fury doesnt get his hands up, Joshua will kill him.

But first we gotta see the rematch and if Klitschko wins the rematch then Fury v Joshua loses its luster.

I think Klitschko v Joshua would actually be a better fight. Similar builds, both love the jab, both have power. Klitschko is old now though.

Joshua has never fought a decent boxer....he'd get destroyed in a long fight. Saying that, there aren't any decent boxers in the heavyweight division at the moment. Just a whole bunch of frauds who dance way more than money mayweather ever did and a young kid with huge potential who hasn't been tested yet.

Klitschko brothers have been dodging fights for their whole career, hence no PPV. I'd be very surprised if either of them risked being beaten by fighting Joshua.

Some pommy drug cheat cyclist chick Armistead didn't turn up for 3 consecutive drug tests and is now melting because she is getting banned lol
Whingeing, drug cheating bitch. Thankfully, a whole bunch of other pommy athletes are giving her shit rather than melting with her.

I read today she got cleared to compete?

Has that changed? If so, good.

Whyte is ok and that fight went 7 rounds. He's been taken to 7 rounds twice and still knocked Whyte out and then Breazeale. You're right about the heavyweight division. I think Fury is a straight up bum and he is the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO champ.

Klitschko was a great fighter but he is 40 now and somehow just lost to Fury. Vitali obviously retired years ago but Wladmir is better than Vitali ever was anyways.

I agree that Joshua hasnt really fought anyone of note but the heavyweight division is kinda poor anyways. Having said that, every time Joshua has fought, he has looked absolutely miles ahead of his opponent. His dismissal of Charles Martin was comical.

Who can he fight though? Klitschko (only because of age) Fury, Pulev, Ortiz, Parker, Stiverne. I dont think he'd have much trouble with any of them.

The only one that sticks out is Wilder. It's a shame because AJ looks legit and I think it's only a matter of time before he unifies the heavyweight division but the problem for him is he will never have that opponent, that rival, as everyone right now in the division are average.

I was watching sky sports news and that decision was appealed. A whole bunch of athletes were abusing her too.

edit: UKAD are appealing the decision. ATM she is cleared for Rio. What a load of shit. Everyone is giving the Russians shit about doping and trying to blame a whole nation and yet this chick is pretty blatantly drug cheating and everyone is apologising for her.

it's funny, the knock on tyson is that there were never any good fighters in his division during his prime so he destroyed a bunch of mongs, then ****ed his life up, sacked his trainer, got fat, and then got beaten by Holyfield.

Joshua could potentially have an undefeated career but never fight anyone good.

Quite sickening really how quick Western authorities are to have a go at Russian, Chinese and East European athletes, but the second it's on of theirs it's like "he/she's not that sort of person. Looks dodgy but it's a pretty good excuse".

Which would be a shame. Deontay Wilder I think could be the fight. Such a lack of quality in the division though.

Tyson by the time he lost to Holyfield was on the way down anyways, although Holyfield was old aswell. Tyson's biggest problem was how little he was. Once he ran into truly big blokes who could also box like Holyfield and Lewis he couldnt knock them out.
