Has anyone been watching The Dynasty on the Patriots?

Been a pretty good hatchet job on Belichick. It's hard to say he hasn't deserved it through his leadership style though. Ep 9 looks through the season they lost to the Eagles in the SB and the whole place was beyond miserable. And then there's the Malcolm Butler omission.

It's been interesting enough but watching Bill/Tom ignore/avoid the questions people actually wanted answered, has been really disappointing. Kraft has been a bit more forthright in his answers at least.

Apparently a joke of a show, all the players have come out and said how disrespectful it is against Bill trying to drag him down and unrealistic/not in line with the experience they were actually going through

Was looking forward to watching it but that has kind of put me off it.

I don't think it's disrespectful to Bill as much as it's pointing out the obvious of Bill.

Yes he was a very successful coach. He was also a grumpy, dour prick and he sucked any joy out of the place. Both of those things can be true.

It's funny, those in the early SB's seem to have a much better opinion of him than those in the later SB's.

So myself and a close mate are ticking off my bucket list and off to New Orleans for the Superbowl next year.
Flying to L.A, then to NO and then road tripping back. Route 66, few days eating our way around Texas, NBA etc.

If anyone who has traveled to the states before, or NO, or the SB for that matter, has any tips I would love to hear them. Also any pointers on reputable superbowl package providers. We were thinking of just regularly checking in with Stubhub?

Worst case scenario is we will just rock up and Tailgate, which should be a blast in itself.

I'm also toying with going next year so keen to hear how you go with packages.

But I'm told even most of the tail gating and out of stadium events need prebooking. Just rocking up might be risky.

So far just subscribed to a few mailing lists. So will wait and see. Will keep you in the loop.

Oh wow that's interesting, have to look into that as well.

I went to Superbowl in 2013 in New Orleans 49ers vs Ravens.

Book well in advance for accommodation and flights. Accomodation can be up to 3 to 4 times the normal price for super bowl weekend.

I went thru onlocation for my tickets. Got a pre game function where meet a heap of current nfl players and few nfl legends aswell as free food and drink plus band and dallas cowboy cheerleaders for some reason. Also got a heap of free superbowl swag and gift vouchers to bye a heap more. Not sure if their any good anymore thou it was 10+ years ago.

My one tip is they close off all the roads into city and make it really hard to get back to hotel if outside city centre was looking at a couple hr wait for taxi so i just hit bourbon street bars and clubs and the casino to early hrs of the morning to avoid it.

Been wanting to see the lead up to the bridge collapsing to see if we could see cars and trucks crossing it and you can, bridge seems to be clear of any traffic when it collapsed apart from the poor buggers preparing pot holes on it. Insane really. Could have been so much worse.

Just had a look through on location. You pay a $2500 deposit, then purchase your tickets? Was that similar to your experience?

Nah totally different I just paid for whole thing. I only booked it like 2 weeks before superbowl so that might of made a difference.
Mine was just ticket and pre game function sorted accommodation out my self.
Seems abit suspect to have to pay that much as a deposit if the packages are really expensive you are sort of stuck buying them since you already have $2.5k paid.

I ask around on reddit and such see if they are still a good company ?

From what i have seen on reddit they have gone to s**t.

Just spoke to my mate who used them for wwe tickets in perth. I was 5 rows from ring he was about 15 rows back from me and his cost about a grand more and all he got extra was a meet and greet event with b star wrestlers. So at best guest they double his ticket price for a meet and greet event.

I'd give them a miss if that's the case.

Think the go would be organize own flights and accommodation and then buy a ticket thru starhub or another ticket site as soon as they come available don't wait till we know who is playing cause once that happens prices will skyrocket as fans of both teams chases tickets.

Yeah I think that's the route we are going to go through. Book cheap flights and AirBNB accommodation. Just want to make sure we secure a ticket.
