Im talking about it in the Dexter season 8 thread on the media board. Controversial but correct opinion (the finale was a perfect ending, tho seasons 5-8 were largely bad).

Hated the ending, hated season 5-8 too.

But I guess keeping Dexter alive was key for allowing a new series to return in the future. Shame Deb aint around no more.

Thats a different take. Most fans just wanted him to go to death row and everyone alive to know he was the butcher and shame him. I just thought the finale was perfect karma for him, a Shakespearean tragedy (see that thread for me explaining cant be ****ed doing it again).

Seasons 1-2 the best, 3-4 very good, after that it became pretty boring and laughable.

The showrunner from the first 4 seasons (when Dexter was actually good) is back for this limited series
