On SEN Sydney, they play these ads from the Council of Churches. They profile players with an attachment to Christianity, and one of them is Kurt Warner.

But it's a weird profile. They reference two teams he played for, which beforehand you'd think were the two teams he played the meat of his career, the Rams and Cardinals.

But no, they ignore them and refer to him as a former Packers and Giants player.

Odd.

that is very weird. :tearsofjoy:

I'd have gone with his time at the Amsterdam admirals or the Iowa barnstormers

Harrowing footage caught the moment an off-duty Arizona cop working as a Walmart security guard shot a 61-year-old man in a wheelchair nine times in the back, killing him — after the disabled man allegedly shoplifted.

The officer, Ryan Remington, was on assignment at the Walmart in Tucson on Monday when an employee alerted him about 6 p.m. that a customer in a motorized wheelchair had swiped a toolbox, KGUN reported.

The employee caught up with the suspect, identified later as Richard Lee Richards, and asked him to show a receipt in the parking lot.

“Instead of providing the receipt, Mr. Richards brandished a knife and said, ‘Here’s your receipt,’” Police Chief Chris Magnus said in a statement, according to CNN.

The chief said Remington, a four-year member of the Tucson police force, also followed Richards while “attempting to gain his cooperation” and surrender the blade.

“Mr. Richards refused to comply, and instead continued to head through the Walmart and Lowe’s parking lots,” Magnus said. “According to the Walmart employee, Mr. Richards said, ‘If you want me to put down the knife, you’re going to have to shoot me.'”

how good were the old days , service station attendant used to put air in your tires, fill up your radiator and clean your windscreen for free when filling up.

Ex Port Adelaide captain Warren Tredrea has pulled the Aaron Rodgers "I'm immunised not vaccinated" and won't be on the 9 network in SA until he does as the station mandate started end of November.

My mind is blown at how much I love Uriah Heep so far.

Still slow going thru all their albums as I like to listen to an album on repeat for a hundred times before moving on to the next.

I initially did a quick go thru the David Byron albums, and a few John Lawton albums, but haven't ventured further than that. Decided to go back and do an album at a time x100 repeat.

But when I did that quick go thru, my initial reaction was they had a very unique brilliance early on, a fusion of funk, metal, 60s, soul, etc, that just sounds so fresh and different from all of their contemporary UK bands like Sabbath, Zep, Deep Purple, Slade, T-Rex, etc. The first four or five Byron albums were the epitome of that unique defining sound. Then they started to gradually lose sight of that, becoming more straight up metal/rock, where an album has maybe 1-3 songs on it that stand out. Whereas their first four or five Byron albums were all killer tracks with that special defining sound.

So, their second album Look At Yourself (1971)....yep, you guessed it....was only a matter of time....better than anything Led Zeppelin ever released.

This deluxe edition too, because it has some extra outtake songs that are also brilliant.

No one will be interested in it, still posting anyway in case.

Tik tok channel. Lawyer looks over user submitted videos of car accidents, and various other caught on camera unlawful acts and explains why the perp is or isnt liable/guilty....often stumping the comments section guesses.

Lot of crazy stuff caught on camera, his verdicts or info are interesting. Eg, "never ever ever consent to police asking to search your car"

Three Things to Remind Yourself of Every Day

1. Life is too short to spend at war with yourself.

2. If you focus on the hurt, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow.

3. When you say "yes" to others, make sure you're not saying "no" to yourself.
