What about your Tasmania ? Note: my brother played and was a superstar for Tasmania when they were in the VFL about 17 years ago.

AFL commission vote in August to see if we get 19th license into the AFL. But would have to wait for 2028 or so  But if we get rejected that'd be a disgrace to be honest.

I agree, it's bad enough they are plonking teams in western Sydney and gold coast where no one cares, Tasmania deserve at team FFS.

Id have gotten rid of Giants for Tassie. And replaced Subs with ACT. But the AFL is desperate to make inroads in RL territory. But theyve done what theyve done, so 19th and 20th SHOULD be Tassie and ACT .

NT and Cairns maybe in the next 20-30 years?

I hope so but its all about corporate dollars unfortunately (and population, even if none of them turn up lol)

Ian Callinan was an absolute gun, should have gotten a chance in the AFL way sooner.
What was the story behind your brother? In terms of chasing the AFL dream? I watched that Devils-Cats game, he looked like an AFL standard player to me.

Probably unlucky that his draft class was the strongest ever in AFL history, was the year Judd, Hodge, Bartel all went in the same draft

just saw this

WASHINGTON, March 15 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Tuesday passed legislation that would make daylight saving time permanent starting in 2023, ending the twice-annual changing of clocks in a move promoted by supporters advocating brighter afternoons and more economic activity.

The Senate approved the measure, called the Sunshine Protection Act, unanimously by voice vote. The House of Representatives, which has held a committee hearing on the matter, must still pass the bill before it can go to President Joe Biden to sign.

The White House has not said whether Biden supports it. A spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined to say if she supports the measure but said she was reviewing it closely.

Senator Marco Rubio, one of the bill's sponsors, said supporters agreed the change would not take place until November 2023 after input from airlines and broadcasters.
