Not sure what the world record is now. 1 km length to tightrope is what it is in this video. Tho i read somewhere someone called DZ now holds the record (2 yrs ago). Record based on length traveled not height. Theyre all about 100-600 meters in height it seems.

Early in the video you see them drill into the rocks to attach the line, so thats how they do it.

And it ain't scary cos Michael Myers doesn't move like that. A slow turn of the head would be much scarier, IMO.
