So am I right in thinking that Pelchen is holding off on FA so that he can get Keys for their 4th rounder when we want their third? In short, he is risking getting pick 20ish so that he can hang on to pick 40ish?
I wouldn't really be holding things up for a 3rd round pick vs a 4th round pick.

I've always wondered what sort of mental impact this would have on Keys. Imagine looking at the situation and thinking "they're spending all this time haggling over whether i'm worth a fairly useless, or completely useless pick - and the club that wants me is only willing to part with a completely useless pick; they must think i'm fairly shit"

Where pretty much waiting on the saints - Dal wants to come so its in their hands as to which way theyll go and if the budge.

Honestly - i think its the delaney selection thats holding this one up.

yep its always been left to the saints. They are worried about the compo pick and what the afl will give them.

I still agree with it. Upgrade a 4th round pick along with Delaney to the *magical* pick #37 and we're sweet.

Make it happen Felchen.

An unbiased view:

The Nick Dal Santo situation has dragged out massively. It should have been an easy move, it makes so much sense.

exactly, they have treaded NDS like an second rate player and tell the media they don't want it dragged on

I think the Saints not going straight for FA deal has turned it into a debacle. It should have been done day 1 with NDS FA and Delaney for steak knives but after dragging this out for weeks I am not sure our club is happy any longer to let Delaney go for nothing.

I think we should just let him go and get the deal done, most here would be happy for NDS for Delaney swap.

They prolly want to retain 37 for bargaining for Josh Bruce. GWS want one of their round 2 picks so if they trade out there third there will be nothing available for a compromise as the deadline approaches.

They have a decision to make.

Then they are purely hoping that we will blink first. Pick 22 or Dal Santo for 3 years. Your choice Saints.
Saints should just get it done, we all know theres no way they'll knock back pick 22 for Dal Santo, plus North is his club of choice Then lets get the Delaney trade done separate, just as they wanted.

Half the time I reckon Damo's just taking a different view so him and Wallet could have an interesting discussion with all the lack of movement this week. Playing devil's advocate in a way.
Yeh maybe but there's the smugness. The self-serious approach to breaking some story on some young bloke on an AFL list farting in a public place. Some story about 2 staff members not (shock) agreeing on something.

It's more a reflection on his and Hutchy's little niche (I'm excepting TAC All-Stars which is a reasonable show) being an annoying one.
