Scott Gumbleton has told Essendon that he wishes to be traded to Fremantle, which is well placed to gain the key forward.
Gumbleton told the Bombers of his wish to become a Docker on Wednesday. Fremantle is understood to be offering only pick 54 at this stage, while the Dons have asked for Fremantle's late second-round pick, 33.
Gumbleton had attracted some interest from Port Adelaide, which spoke to his management, but as Gumbleton has not wavered from his wish to join the Dockers, who have already added Melbourne forward Colin Sylvia to their senior list as a free agent and have a need for a tall forward to support 32-year-old Matthew Pavlich.

Pelican should've thought like that when at Hawthorn then, but he didn't. He's a snake oil salesman!
in just a short tenure with the saints he has set up strong relationships some clubs targeting the new clubs GWS and GC along with trades here and thier with other clubs.

dont know where all the heat comes from that he is impossible to deal with, from all reports he is open to trade almost anyone which would make him the opposite of hard to deal with.

if u think pelctin is hard to deal with i would hate to think what u guys think of the dons in the offseson

Haggling between 54 and 33, jesus, get the blanket and shotgun out and just put him down.

Let's be fair and unbiased about this.

*Essendon drafted this bloke at #2 and stood by him (TM) loyally for 7 years, for better or for worse, in sickness and very occasionally in health. He's only just started to show something for them in return.

They deserve 54.

There can be only one...
yes but if u tell us f off as your supporters have put it then saints may also try to do the same and pick deleany in the PSD or even national draft..

+ its always important for both parites to have a good relationship for future deals.
I am amused the PSD thing keeps getting raised as an option, he isn't the type of person who would do it, he isn't leaving on bad terms. For it to be suggested disrespects Delaney which is more annoying than asking for steak knives for someone you don't think highly of but are prepared to give him a three year deal plus guaranteed game time.

Pelchen just has too much bad history of trying to extort win-loss deals and our club is sick of dealing with him. We had to deal with weeks of crazy unrealistically over-priced deals for NDS (which still isn't resolved) and we have to deal with unrealistically low opinions of players the club is chasing.

I feel bad for Car Keys to have the club he prefers to end up speaks so low of him. The last club to do that was Melbourne who were insulting Hale's intelligence to the point he was happy to go to the Hawks.

For what it is worth, I don't think third or fourth rounds picks are worth fighting over, however, I think our club is very irritated at how the NDS thing has dragged on. I mean, nobody has even made a decision if he is going to move, if he is going as a free agent or what is going on and the deadline is tomorrow.
