Denver are a rabble.
Maybe the saw the writing on the wall and realised they were the weakest team in that group of the West fighting for positions and they weren’t going to contend with the group they have.

It was pretty clear Malone had lost the players. Most of this is on Calvin Booth and his inability to construct a decent roster around Jokic, he was spoon fed a championship roster in his first year and has done f*** all since

Lunacy in what sense? The players would have known and supported the change in all reality. Alot of these decisions are made for clear reasons... even if we dont know what they are.

I cant imagine Jokic didnt ask for this and get his way really. I think both guys lost the playing group with the insane rotation + Calvin Booths shambolic performance of GM is worthy of the sacking in itself.

I think they are somewhat toast for this year regardless. Next year they gotta find a way to move on Porter Jnr and bring in another scorer of note. Will be harder said then done though

That you would make a change this late with a championship coach while still likely to be in the playoffs. There's a reason other teams don't do it.

Sure go a new way next season but if there were issues sack him months ago.

If it came from the players then not sure how impactful timing is in this situation. To me it also signifies a belief they have no chance this playoff season.... which is true

great game here some clutch plays by Brunson then complete clutch 3 by Tatum.

Knicks bottled that, should have won.

Proved we can hang with Boston but can’t beat them. They are the best team in it for mine, they’ll be fit in the playoffs and they are going to blitz everyone.

Lakers paying 7 bucks to win that game was absolutely wild. Didnt win but still a good bet.

The Lakers are a chance of going the whole way whether anyone can admit it or not

I mean they're going to be a third seed so of course they're a chance. I think they have a lot of areas that can be exploited but then you know Luka and Bron are going to show up in the playoffs.

I'm not taking a lot out of those two games against OKC and OKC against Houston. Was pretty clear they were playing safe, especially SGA in those two losses. It is clear teams with a physical scoring four are going to aggressively target Chet though.

OKC clearly best still in West but not unbeatable and then I think a lot of other teams are about match ups. I think the Warriors for example would want the Lakers.

Think I'm going Denver dropping out and Wolves in to the 6. Clippers I had potentially finishing 0-3 but think they're helped by Rockets now having nothing to play for and that last day game against GSW maybe not mattering, although it would be great if that became a play in before the play in.

Luka ejected for what? talking to a fan.

refs are a joke.

no wonder people are turning off the nba
Even crazier when you look at what Draymond got away with towards the ref the other day, which was worse than Luka even if it was at the ref.

NBA officiating has always been a joke mind you. Different rules for different players. Different rules with different refs. Travels and palming allowed until the odd random time they're not.

Some time to think about it.

Griz firing their coach with 9 games to go was insane.

But that looked like business as usual compared to what the Nuggets did. It was beyond insane. They won a chip less than 2 years ago, and looked like a 2nd/3rd seed a month ago (and realistically that would have been better than expected). So effectively a 10 year coach, with a chip got sacked because of a month of average basketball. And for what? Some guy on the bench to coach.

When you win the chip you get some leniency to finish the season. Even if you were found ****ing the owners wife.
