IMO I would target Carl Peterson from the Hawks

the Hawks have plenty of small forwards with Rioli, Stokes and Hooper however need a tall defender and ruckman to boost their big man stocks

we have plenty of talls however need a small forward

doubt it very much.

he'll be picked up by the GC if he nominates for the draft, he knows that.

his choice is nominate or not nominate isn't it? very fanciful to think he can go into the draft pool and not end up there.

Truthful actually Mo.

Has basically said if he winds up in Western Australia or Queensland then he'll go with baseball over footy. He only wants to play in either SA or Victoria.

This town aint big enough for two Carls

Griffens a very happy vic these days and with how the club helped him through the death of his father he feels a strong bond to the club etc and would never ask to trade and the club would never want to trade him.

I doubt the dogs would be involved in any trade other then looking for a new home for Josh Hill

has he put off signing his new contract until seasons end?

While it is true that the Doggies have been outstanding with helping Ryan through the tough times and his bond with them has strengthened but the bond with his family can not be underestimated. It's going to a tough decision for the bloke.

I have been lead to believe that Griff has told them he wants to stay and the club does not want to lose hin but wait on what happens with Harbrow/Everitt/Hahn to see how much money they can offer (eg cap space)
