Refs played a Big part in the Heat comeback imo.
How many times did they go to the F/T line (for instance) compared to us ?
Anyone a 6-2 record without Kemba is a very good start to our season. Faith in coach Stevens restored.

I never lost faith in stevens though to me he's in the top 5 of coaches today tbh. Without Kemba it has been hard because not many players we have can create plays like he can.
He doesn't do anything you couldn't do.
He has little idea what to do with talented players. Just let them play iso ball and jack up threes.

We took so many 3’s and weren’t aggressive enough to drive to the line. Butler got them back in the game by getting driving aggressively and getting the fouls.
Time Lord had a great game, playing bigger than he is.
Can’t wait to get Kemba and Teague back.
We played great for the most part, but our lapses & ability to be scored against quickly is still a major worry. Concede a 17pt lead & then be up by 10 with a minute to play & still be in a position to lose is testiment to that.
Draw opens up for us now....could really put a decent run together & grab top spot by mid jan.

agree ....Stevens is an average coach. Will never take us to a championship. Is absolutely clueless how to instruct a team to play percentages in the clutch.
We are a supr talented side, but far from well drilled & we should be with the time he’s had at Boston.

Tatum and Brown are averaging the same amount of points as Bird and Mchale did.
Making them play team ball instead of hero ball I only question some of his plays at the end of games but thats about it.

Like to see what people say, I'm assuming not taking care of the ball late in game is a factor heads up Kemba is out.. no one else knows how to take care of the ball but that's not down to stevens if spuds like waters can't play point.

Bird AVG as many AST on his own as Tatum and Brown combined.
Plays at the end of the game are kinda important in finals series.
No point being regular season heroes.
Talking care of the ball doesn't mean you rely on one player to do it.
You can use passing as a way not only to keep control of the ball but pressure the defence into making a mistake.
Having one player dribbling the air or the ball to protect it takes the rest of the team out of the equation and places no pressure on the defence.

He shouldn't have played against the Wizards in hindsight.
We are lucky our schedule over the time frame Tatum is out is relatively soft, so we should be okay (more mins for Pritchard and Time Lord hopefully)
Even Semi Ojeleye is improving.

Apparently Boston will be this short for the following 2 games too this week unless we get some back from injury as per Covid protocols.
