I jumped on the Hull bandwagon after playing with them in Football Manager 2008 last year (i.e. when they were languishing near the bottom of the CCC before going on that amazing late run).

So they are MY boys! :p

Pretty awesome form at the moment though. How they got a player of Geovanni's calibre (for NOTHING) I'll never know.

Some really shrewd buying by the (no longer) underrated Phil Brown. Players like Boateng, Mendy etc. are all up to this level. And captain Michael Turner is an extremely talented centre-back. Oozes coolness at the heart of the defence.

Amazing that we've just hit October and they've achieved 30% of their target.

Carn the Tiges! :D

Just watched the match. Great goal by Geovanni, but full credit to their defence who weathered 60 minutes of full-on pressure from Tottenham and came away with a clean sheet.

They will stay up, without doubt. But when a promoted team does really well in its first season, it's so unexpected that the second season often becomes a very tough one. Long way to go this season but they are flying at the minute.

People go on and on about Tottenham and Villa breaking the monopoly of the top 4 and now City are a real show to to just that over the next few years. But everyone has it all wrong. Hull for the champions league! :D

If your going to support them, its probably better that you know who there captain is.:D

Ian Ashbee is there captain and has been since there last season in league 2 in 2002/03.

He's the only person in English Football history who has lead a team from the bottom tier of english football to the top. Bewildering as he looked out of his depth 2 seasons ago and yet now is contributing in the top flight.

Having 17 points after the first 8 games is a special effort. You would think that they would get the 3 points in the next game away at West Brom.

Then the real test comes.....Chelsea at the Bridge, United at Old Trafford.

After those games, we'll know whether they can achieve there goals.

It will hardly be a formality at the Hawthorns though.

Knowing Hull as well as i do, your exactly right.

They made a history of beating teams they shouldn't beat and loosing to teams they should beat.

On form they should beat West Brom at the Hawthorns. They beat them there last season, only to get beaten by them at the KC.

What do you consider the bottom tier?

I assume you are referring to League 2? Not really the bottom tier at all.

We will either draw or beat them both.

Yeah, nah.

Well done. I'm glad you let us know.

Knowing Hull city as well as i do (don't wanna brag, but more than anyone else on here :D:D I knew them before they were fashionable) it wouldn't be out of the question but i wouldn't put money on it.

In Fairness, he shouldn't be captain. Im not convinced he's better than Boateng or Marney in the middle of the park.

Bottom tier of the Football League. After that its non-league:thumbsu:

Hull FTW

I started going for them in 04/05 when geovanni scored that cracker that won the game against Manu at OT. Just missed out on a UEFA spot that year if I recall correctly.
