Glad to see Book move up.

Number one in the West whilst missing 2-3 starters most nights this season. Tough schedule coming up.

You keep saying this, but it's incomplete analysis.

The Kings are better because they improved significantly in the off-season. Added a lot of shooting and depth.

They weren't any better after the trade last season. And it's not a matter of opportunity cost either, cos they would have had more cap room, not less, in hanging on to Haliburton.

The trade does seem to have lit a fire under Fox though, which was well overdue. I'm chuffed for the Kings, have always had a soft spot for them. But let's not go overboard.

You don't think opening up fox and getting the big Lithuanian gun. Made them much better?

He’s still top 10.
Off the top of my head, I’d take these guys ahead of him right now. I’m sure I’m missing obvious names as well.

Tatum
Giannis
Doncic
Curry
AD
Embiid
Morant
Booker
Jokic
Durant

He’s in the conversation for those lower spots but I don’t personally have him there based on this season. He still has nights that are top 10 but they’re definitely further apart. Which is fine, he’s obviously in the twilight and he’s been top for so long.

Usually the case when things aren’t out in public….

Someone doesn’t want him there.

All I can see from this eventually is Nate Mac being fired, however Ice Trae needs to pull his head in, it's very difficult to shrug off the reputation of being a coach killer.

You also have players like SGA who belong in the tier below the top 10.

As I said before, the talent in the NBA (esp young and up comers) is unbelievable right now.

I'm taking LeBron over a number of those players in any playoff series.
Reg season and playoffs are different sports.

Well a head for post season imho. Not sure if any of those teams get better if you swap for James. Lakers superteam have both which is nice

A lot of the next tier are very good or playing great. Might give the old feller a run for money

Yeah but ja dunks like a computer game booker is very good. SGA is on fire etc

As I keep saying, it's a golden age of top end talent in the NBA, esp young thriving kids and future superstars.

You can make a case for 15 names to make the top 10 right now really

Gets in for me partly due to longevity and the miles he has racked on those battle worn legs. Remarkable he is still playing at a relatively high level that he is.

List of players who finished top 10 in GmSc MVP at 35 years or older:

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986
Wilt Chamberlain: 1971, 1972
Tim Duncan: 2013
LeBron James: 2020
Karl Malone: 1999, 2000, 2001
Chris Paul: 2021, 2022

My All-NBA teams right now. Forwards are pretty thin this year with so many injured players.

G Steph Curry
G Luka Doncic
F Jayson Tatum
F Kevin Durant
C Anthony Davis

G Shai-Gilgeous Alexander
G Devin Booker
F Jaylen Brown
F Giannis Antetokounmpo
C Nikola Jokic

G Ja Morant
G Donovan Mitchell
F Mikal Bridges
F Lauri Markkanen
C Brook Lopez

That third quarter by the Celtics was one of the best we have played all season, especially on a back to back against a good team that is tough to play on their home court.

Tatum, Brown, Smart all shined with some good contributions off the bench from Kornet and Hauser.
