The New York Knicks are expected to sign Simi Shittu to a 10-day contract, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

Shittu averaged 14.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in the G League bubble.

What an outstanding moniker

Pels blow another 4th quarter lead.

Same sh1t, different day.

Channeling his inner Vlade.

Should be above Luka and Steph IMO

Has carried a team that was pretty much the exact same team that was an absolute basket case in 2020 to 4th in the East

Eh, you could fairly say Luka and Steph are carrying pretty average teams into the playoffs too.

Randle's having a career year, but I dunno if you can say he's a top 5 or top 10 MVP lock. One could make a pretty good case for all 10 of those guys listed, LeBron's maybe on the cusp of missing too many games, but that's about it.

Seriously though.

It has been pretty clear Joker 1, Embiid 2. Field 3. for a while now.

When does the amount of games missed come into play for Embiid? He could easily drop off the ballet.

He's missed 19 games, Sixers are 8-11 without, 31-10 with

Doing the gamescore MVP thing I posted in another thread, nearly every MVP candidate has missed many games except for Jokic. Embiid is now third place behind Giannis after the Bucks won today (i'll update the top 20 when today's results go through).

Kawhi isn't playing, Mitchell isn't playing, Harden isn't playing, Lillard is losing, Curry had a bad start record-wise...

Ranks 2-5 will be a tossup come season end, the only certainty is Jokic should be a lock to win.

Can't remember someone that's on pace to miss 25 games (in an 82 game season) finished Top 3 in the MVP.

True. But you could argue that if the Sixers have such a high win percentage when he does play that he could miss so many games, be under .500 without him and still lock up a top 2 seed, maybe even the top seed, then his dominance when he played is still justified for MVP placing?

Seriously have not strung 2 good games in a row for gods knows how long

Before they lost to us they beat Philly twice. Does that count :D

But yes they have been around .500 for the last 15 odd games and both us and the Knicks are legitimately closing down on their 3rd seed. Who would have thunk that would even be a possibility.
