There is an angle where it shows Smart's arm hitting him in the balls.
Nurkic should have kept his legs closed and the whole thing could have been avoided.
Luka is a blight on the game - the nerve to even question this ejection

Son of Skeletor NOP will still fu** it up?
Why do people think it ridiculous?
And I'm not saying that because it might helps us (most projections have us finishing in the Top 8).
It's making the games down the stretch more exciting. e.g. the Lakers games matter now, because they don't want to be in the play-in. Otherwise they wouldn't care if they were the 5th or 8th seed.
If you're not good enough to get in the Top 6 seeds in a conference, then you just aren't that good and deserve nothing. If we finish 7th, we aren't going to do anything, so might as well have the excitement of some elimination games.
The play-in is a brilliant idea, that is here to stay.

If the NBA jumps right into the postseason when it returns from suspension, then the Portland Trail Blazers will likely be on the outside looking in. When the season got suspended following Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert testing positive for COVID-19, the Blazers were 3.5 games out of the eighth...www.nbcsports.com
Personally think it has merit in the overall scheme of things.
Can see why it could be an issue this particular season though, given the havoc covid has played with the schedule in the last 14 months. Although I guess you could argue it gives the top 6 in each conference a bit of a breather.
I don’t think it’s ridiculous but I don’t like it.
You play a 72 game season (usually 82) which is more than enough time to determine who the top 8 are in each conference.
If you’re a 7th or 8th seed, you can’t be happy that you have a one off game against potentially a sub .500 team to see if you advance. If the latter has a hot shooting night, you’re done. The lower seed should have to win two games against the higher opponent to advance which is how it was in the bubble.
Also think there needs to be a wins buffer. Like if the 7th seed is 7/8 wins ahead of 8th, they should be exempt.
Top two seeds are disadvantaged by way of the fact they won’t know their opponent until two days before game 1, as opposed to the 3rd and 4th seeds.
It’s an idea, but it’s not brilliant
Or Bounce on Fox Footy.Personally on one hand it gives networks and us fans "more" games which is what "people" want. well the networks will love it. Though not sure if games lead in to the 6 oclock news over there, or whether games run at the behest of Better Homes and Gardens.
