Are Raps tanking?

Doubt it, not much to be gained.

They lost by 5 to a full strength Clippers, no disgrace in that.

FVV is a serious chucker

Have you seen their line-up?

Who else besides Siakam is going to shoot on that team?

Chris Paul had 16 assists with zero turnovers. It’s his 48th game with 10 or more assists and zero turnovers.

If I’ve learnt anything from the greatest shooter thread, he’s lucky there’s no defensive pressure these days to cause turnovers

The Milwaukee Bucks are likely to part ways with Mike Budenholzer as head coach unless the team reaches at least the Eastern Conference Finals, sources tell The Athletic.

Budenholzer has upwards of $7 million remaining on his contract over one season.

When the Bucks were convincing Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign his supermax extension while dissecting their own demise at the same time, sources say there was a great deal of frustration aimed at Budenholzer that hasn’t been forgotten.

Budenholzer has been more adaptable with some of his schemes this season.

The Portland Trail Blazers are likely to part ways with Terry Stotts this offseason unless the team goes on an impressive run in the playoffs, according to a source who spoke with The Athletic.
Stotts has one season remaining on his contract.
Sources also tell The Athletic that Stotts has less player support than he had in the past.
If the Blazers make a coaching change, they're expected to consider Lakers assistant Jason Kidd, Hawks interim coach Nate McMillan, 76ers assistant Dave Joerger, Clippers assistant Chauncey Billups and Spurs vice president of basketball operations Brent Barry.
The Blazers prefer a high profile coach to replace Stotts should they move on from him.

High profile? Nathan Buckley maybe?

Son of Skeletor How's the frustration of Ball? Two different players in 24 hours.

Has had a good season overall, so I'm not going to complain about one poor shooting game. It's much better than the weeks of poor shooting he endured last season.

In the last two weeks he's had a game where he scored 24, an 18/9/7 game, a 16/12/12 game, a 33/11/8 game and of course the 33 he scored yesterday.

In the bigger picture he has knocked down 162 treys in 52 games at nearly 38% and has the second best on/off split on the team behind Zion, so lots to recommend him going forward.

There are still things to work on undoubtedly. His dribble penetration is still below average, which makes his long term future as a lead guard problematic. His defence is decent, but could probably improve further. But on the basis of his play this season he's absolutely a viable starter on a good team.

Just hope for our sake that doesn't mean a $100 million contract.

If they replace Stotts with Kidd they're kidding themselves, pun partially intended.

Would be perfect for the Knicks, but at 25 mill a year it’s crazy money

I thought he has had a crazy good year on a very ordinary team

He's had a good year, no doubt about it. Has worked on his shot a lot, which is reflected in his incremental improvement in TS%. Just have to hope it's not the proverbial contract year, although his shot has looked solid all season. Has even hit his free throws, not that he gets to the line much.

We're a pretty unusual 'ordinary' team though. We're a top 10 offensive team, and have two different guys who can get their shot against anyone, which is a rare luxury for a lottery team. We're also the best rebounding team in the league.

Unfortunately we're an absolute mess defensively, can't hit threes consistently, allow opponents to hit way too many open threes, can't hit free throws and continually blow close or winnable games. Our expected win loss has us at 34-32, as opposed to being 30-36 as we are. We've beaten or almost beaten almost all the top teams, and yet continually slip up against trash teams.

I'd love to see us with a solid guard to pair with Lonzo instead of Bledsoe. Would help our spacing and late game execution for a start. Would also like to see SVG try something, anything, different in a defensive scheme to stop us bleeding points and threes.

Another triple double to Westbrook.

His hands were all over the basketball like a ____________________________
All the wizards need is some decent shooters and they'll definitely be a top 7 team in the East.
