The Official Bigfooty Week 18 "What the hell do we talk about for the next three days?" NBA thread

Now that the all star game is won and done we have a few days off to digest not only the all star weekend, but also the first portion of the season.

Or for some, a chance to rest.

All star weekend is the biggest steaming pile of excrement.

So glad I was away for most of it on a bucks weekend.

Kevin Hart...just * off.
Fergie...wow talk about vomit

Its just a complete snorefest.

I'm with Ingles. Would rather have a break.

I'm going to take this theme and run with it.

Putting nuts on an ice-cream sundae award

Appetizer: Marcus Smart decides that Marcus Smart is the right man to take the game winning shot against the Lakers. Marcus Smart misses.

Main course: Marcus Smart decides to add glass picture frames to the list of things he likes to punch, in addition to Matt Bonner's nuts and the occasional fan. Marcus Smart is now out of action.

Digestion process: 9.5/10 - Celtic and non-Celtic fans alike erupt in full-blown celebration. Digestion this peaceful and contented is rarely seen outside of a Christmas Day luncheon.

Ouroboros award

Appetizer: LeBron's Cavs add a whole new bunch of SuperFriends to the Justice League - Flash Wade, Junkyard Dog Crowder, Derrick Rose with the power to disappear before a game, and IT4, who possesses the power to get his powers back. This was a wild experiment... like eating crocodile meat.

Main course: It was a bit like watching Bear Grylls eating crocodile and washing it down with his own piss - it feels wrong to look, yet it's too funny not to.

Digestion: 6/10 - It was an ordeal, but in the end it has passed through the system and amazingly no harm seems to have been done. Probably wouldn't do it again, but YOLO.

Over-seasoned meat award

Appetizer: Reports begin to surface that James Harden is a competent defender as the Rockets soar to new heights. Good presentation skills abound.

Main course: The meat seems to look OK... sure, it's a bit hard to see or smell properly underneath all that seasoning, but you gotta trust the chef, right?

Digestion: 3/10 - The masses are having a bit of trouble swallowing here. Why does the menu always make it sound so good?

The airline food award

Appetizers: These begin arriving early in the journey - we knew who Lavar Ball was long before the main course arrived.

Main course: You never have high hopes, but this is poor even by ESPN Airlines standards. A Ball s**t sandwich is served, and despite protestations a host of tasteless Ball snacks are offered at very regular intervals. Trapped and fatigued, passengers don't want to consume any more and would rather sleep through the rest of this hellish journey.

Digestion: 1/10 - Most of the poor innocents on board end up throwing up repeatedly. As rumours begin to swirl about ESPN airlines opening up a new route to Vilnius, native Lithuanians begin to fear that they could be hit next by this epidemic.

Prediction time:

1) Which team misses out on the playoffs out East? Miami or Detroit (Miami currently 1.5 games in front)?
2) Which teams miss out on the playoffs in the West? OKC (2.5 games in front of Utah), Nuggets (2 games), Blazers (2 games), NOP (1.5 games), LAC (1 game), Utah (0 games) - two teams will miss
3) Warriors or Rockets get the 1st seed?
4) Who gets the 4th seed in the East. Assuming Toronto, Boston and Cleveland have the Top 3 sorted out. Currently Washington, Indiana (.5 games behind), Bucks (1 game), Philly (2 games)
