That's Lachie Murphy! Kicked 3 goals, put massive pressure on the Saints defence and created many other opportunities.
He's like that Jake Neade guy you used to have and tell us how great he was, except Lachie can kick, handball, pressure and score.
Camries must have won this week. They are all coming out of the woodwork

Zac Butters > Spud Murphy by the length of the straight.

Interesting comparison considering Murphy was drafted as a rookie
Interesting comparison considering Butters has only been playing AFL this season so Murphy should be clearly in front as he has had 2 years in the system but alas he is miles behind Butters.

Hang-on, so you think its fair to compare a bloke who was overlooked in his initial draft year and then picked up as a rookie selection in his second draft with a bloke who was taken with pick 12 in the so called "super draft" .. ok

Has been in the system 2 years now. The fact that he was picked up as a rookie is irrelevant as the comparison is being made based upon this year's performances.

Using your logic then Butters is light years ahead of Jones who was drafted before him :)

First year player is more talented than an older rookie selection .. what a surprise

As for Jones, well let's just remember for a moment your lot have a history of blowing your collective loads early in regard to new draft picks. After all, wasn't SPP supposed to be developing into a better version of Dustin Martin in his first year .. :thumbsu:

Yes hasn't that SPP lad improved out of sight. He's got slower, fatter and more predictable, yet tries to play like Martin.
He reached his ceiling 6 months into his first season.

Fogarty says hi :$
Once again, developing in the SANFL. I really just don't understand the point you're making? Your lot had questionable depth last year, and then kicked Whingard, Polec and Pittard to the curb. Is it really a surprise your draftees are good enough to get games this year? :$

Once again you lot were frothing at the mouth that he was the new Roo. :rainbow:

lol .. long term he's earmarked as a KPF, not a midfielder. He's spending time honing his defensive skills for his longer term development and as an option should 1 of the incumbent defenders succumb to injury .. is it that unusual that bigger players take longer to develop and barring injury have less opportunity at senior level?
