ENIC/The Lewis Family / Whatever you want to call them best have a good hard look in the mirror. We're the 9th richest club in world football and we escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth.

Jeeeesus.

Never been so happy to not have to watch my team play for three months.

I can actually get excited for the world cup now.

I came second in the work tipping comp. It's one of those ones that uses $ based odds so you get rewarded for being brave.

Scored 23 this week, leap frogged me into second. $200 in my pocket.

Boring. Switched over to see Kinsky make a really strong save which is nice for him after the very public howlers which could easily derail a career.

West Ham down, with that stadium to run and the squad where it is, could be in for a serious struggle from here, but far out it would have been funny for one of the corporations masquerading as a sporting team to go down.
If I take my Arsenal hat off for a moment, it is nice to see the turnaround for Kinsky. Could've very easily been the end of his carrer after that night in Madrid.

Instead he's been responsible for multiple huge saves that have ultimately kept Spurs up. He's been their standout player in the run in for me.

I'm aware that the adjudication of offside is sometimes farcical. A fingernail ahead of the defender and you're offside.

Would changing the rule such that an attacker is not offside unless there is clear space between him/her and the defender, help? It would make it more cut and dried, as well as giving an advantage to attacking play. Which will equal more goals as a side effect.
Arsene Wenger has suggested this as a change and I believe it is being trialed in certain leagues at the moment. Has to be clear daylight between attacker and defender under the proposed changes.

What I never get about this version is that there’s still a judgement call and a line to draw, just somewhere else.

Honestly just scrap VAR and be on the wrong end of some sometimes, get the rub of the green others. As it stands it’s hardly like VAR feels fair anyway so what are we losing

I wouldn't say there's a judgement call. Either there's a gap, or there's not. And yes, you have to draw the line somewhere, but I would argue that having daylight between an attacker and a defender feels fairer than an attacker having his toenail ahead of the defender. Just my opinion.

Or in Foden's case last night, his juicy peach :peach:
