I agree that coming out and saying Egan is a chance of returning is a great motivator to the players. If they are anything like me they would have been a little down in the dumps ever since hearing the news, and having Bomber say this positive stuff tonight has me feeling better already, regardless of if he returns or not.

I'd be worried abour Rooke. Been out for along time and a 7cm tear in your hammie is no laughing matter. Flying to Europe and back late in the season doesn't sound the best preparation for finals.

Bucks kept on reinjuring his so there is a definate question mark next to Rooke.

Bartel just had some doctor's hand up his clacker, Ablett has a degenerative knee problem.

Looks like the finals teams are evening up nicely. Three weeks ago it looked like Geelong would wipe the floor with every other finals pretender. Now its at least a four horse race Cats, Port, Eagles and Swans in my mind.....Crows are the dark horse.

And we (I) still keep underestimating the Roos.

AS the captain of the star ship Enterprise says

"BRACE FOR IMPACT!!!!!"

Bartel had his apendix removed you clown, a hand up his ass won't kill him.

Abletts knee is fine.

Egan will be back for the Grand final.

Rooke is rested and fit.

Troll.

TROLL.....wwwwHAT???

Just because my opinion is the final series looks more interesting than the 1 horse race it looked like a month ago I'm a troll??!!!

Toughen up princess.

As to your "Glass is overflowing" view of your injury list.

Whatever makes you happy old fruit!!!:p

Every team has injuries to key players......even yours!!

P.S. I'v posted plenty of positive things about the Cats this season, just because I have a slightly different opinion with this topic doesn't make me a troll.

Anyhow good luck for the weekend........seriously.

Troll may have been a little harsh.

I also think finals is an open event and anyone can knock anyone out of contention. Adelaide have given us a couple of tough matches and they finished 8th and on their day anyone in the top 8 can knock off any of the other teams.

On the injuries.

Ablett I am not too concerned on his knee at this stage just because if it was major I think the media would be all over it.

Bartel only missed probably a week of track work and two games so should be right to go. Appendix surgery shouldn't be causing him any problems.

Rooke has now had a few games in the VFL and loves the hard stuff although there is some element of risk in that the hammy could go but on the flipside if he does play he is a hard nut who loves the tough stuff so is probably suited to finals footy.

Egan will be lucky to make the GF and if he does it will be a risk. Similar to Kerr making it back for the GF only I think it is easier to play with a bung finger than a foot so I think Kerr is a better chance of coming back. Of course both would be risking re-injury and after affects.
