Oden has made his decision...

Surely it'll be PHX? That's the only place where his knees will survive ;)

I want to see him do well and even though Sacramento is in the running I don't think he'll choose us. If I was him it'd be Miami, take that shot at a ring and he wouldn't need to play a huge amount of minutes either, perfect for him IMO.

The Atlanta Hawks have waived DeShawn Stevenson to clear a roster spot for DeMarre Carroll.
DeMarre Carroll >>>>>> DeShawn Stevenson ?????

Al Harrington was placed on waivers by the Orlando Magic on Friday.

Amar'e Stoudemire has canceled a scheduled week of workouts with Hakeem Olajuwon in Houston.
The New York Knicks and Stoudemire decided that rest would be more important than refining his post moves with Olajuwon.

Must have had such a demanding off-season.

Some pretty funny Oden tweets going around.

"broke his jaw announcing his team"
"team can't get insurance on his wrist before signing contract"

:D

Haha poor fella.

Hope he can get through the season injury free, wherever he ends up. Deserves a decent run at it.

Even if he does people need to understand that he be an absolute shell of what he was.

I'll reserve judgement until I see him during the season. I don't think that anyone is expecting great things but it's a little unfair to write him off now.

Which is better than playing Bosh at the 5 or Joel. :D

I wouldn't expect him to play for the first part of the season anyway. No back-to-backs and probably no more than 10 mins a game early on anyway. Possibly at all. He'll just eat space for 10-15 mins in playoffs which will allow Bosh to play 10-15 mins less at the 5 which is a win in itself because he will play better.

How is it unfair to write a player off when he hasn't played a game since 09 or 10

Because he voluntarily stepped away from the game to get himself right.

More than happy to write him off ever getting remotely near up to his college potential but there is no reason if he's got himself right (or as right as he can be) he can't be an effective 10-20 minute a game center.
