Just can't see Dwight & CP3 being anywhere other than LA. I reckon they want to play together but they don't have the balls to actually do it when we are talking leaving LA for Atlanta. Dwight + Al would be outrageous.

My educated guess for how it all shakes out;

KG gets traded to the clips for DAJ and 2 first round picks.
Doc gets released from his contract and takes the Clippers role.
The Celtics flirt with trading away Pierce, but decide that after seeing both Ray Allen and KG leave, as well as Doc, they'll hang on to him as the last bastion of true 'Celtic Pride' and he'll retire a rare one-club/14 year player.

Would love to see pierce retire a Celtic. As much as I don't like the Celts, much respect for him and the one club player. A very rare breed of individual indeed

@BaxterHolmes: Source tells Globe that CP3's camp believes 2 1st-round picks + DeAndre Jordan is small price to pay for Doc & KG.

@BaxterHolmes: "Unsavory" publicity, I should add.

There was a chance both of them were considering retiring so to get a serviceable young defensive C and 2 late 1st round draft picks is a pretty good deal for the C's.

It also instantly makes the Clippers a title contender for the next few years.

Knowing Ainge he'll flip the picks to get another player or to move up in the draft.

Well that's a ridiculous statement.

Danny has shown what he can do with a young big man and stock piled draft picks.

That's what he used to land KG in the first place.

I'm more pissed that my favourite player is being traded for rubbish. I'd rather him retire in Boston.
i think that's a little selfish. he's identified that boston aren't gonna be a winning team for the next 24 months so he's entitled to go (if he does). he left minny because they were not in a winning position either.

you're 16 years old right brah? just think what the people of minnesota felt some 6 years ago when he, their franchise player, departed. you were 10 then.

I don't care for this trade on either side.

The Celts get an underdeveloped C and scraps and the Clips get a 37 year old center that is an injury away from becoming Marcus Camby.

The most interesting part of the story is Doc Rivers skipping away from Boston at the first sign of adversity. Ross Lyon would be proud.

Exactly.

KG could be anything in the next year and a bit.
