No Doc, possibly no KG or PP, at the Celtics. Going to be strange.

NBA off-season always so interesting.

Pierce at the Cavs would be interesting for them to maybe get a couple of seasons out of him. Good for Kyrie.

Ainge'd.

@BillSimmons: Celts did a nice job of pretending this weekend that Doc might go back there (for leverage w/ Clips). No way Wyc was taking him back. None.

So whose coaching Boston? Looks like Shaw is still on the market... Vinny is available too :p

Also the market for Dallas' pick is hotting up.... NBA Rumors: Cleveland Cavs could trade #19 Pick for the #13 Pick + Shawn Marion. Cavs offering #31 + #33 Picks for Paul Pierce. (Source: Y!)

Pierce is still worth a first rounder to a team who's close to competing for a title. I doubt Ainge would settle for 2 2nd rounders(but ya never know with Danny).

Lawrence Frank might be a show to get the coaching gig. Didn't get much of a go at Detroit and already knows the C's system and staff well having previously coached there.

It does save the clips a lot of money though :)

Not sure who's more gutless. Allen or Rivers?

Rivers always said he didn't want to go through a whole new rebuilding process.

He at least stated his intentions long before he left.

Seems people are confusing his long contract as a sign he was committed to staying on after the Big 3 departed.

All that was, was Danny and Doc creating a situation where Doc and the C's had some leverage for when he did leave.

Woj:

Garnett has two years, $24.4 million left on his Celtics deal, but there's a growing belief that he'll play one more season before retiring and joining his old coach, Flip Saunders, with a ceremonial role in Minnesota Timberwolves ownership, league sources told Y! Sports.

"The opportunity will be there for him," one source said, "but there's nothing decided yet."

KG is 37 and has often said if people only knew what he went through to get through a season.

I'd not begrudge him if he retired right now. He'd make a great assistant coach.

nice sentiment if he goes back to his roots as a wolf. deep down, i think everyone knows and will remember him as a wolfie first.
