Lol at Pau can defend.

Also I'd back the Spurs over the Cavs comfortably.
Was talking more about his Laker days when he lifted defensively in the playoffs at times when they needed him.

Admittedly have had no interest in watching much Chicago so haven't seen him a great deal lately. Wouldn't put it past Pop to get him inspired to play some defence though.

lol at "Spurs are done". It must be the offseason of any year from 2008.

No way they aren't a Top 4 seed (probably Top 2) next year.
Don't get me wrong even though I'm not a fan of the Spurs I'd much rather they win the chip next year over the GSW. I find the Spurs brand of basketball more balanced and entertaining then the repetitive 3 ball happy warriors. The Spurs also don't have anyone as obnoxious and annoying as Curry and Klay so seeing them win isn't as intolerable.

But this is the first time that pop is a coaching a team without Duncan in it. So much of the spur's success for the past 2 decades is due to Duncan being one of the best defensive and offensive centres in the history of NBA. Although his replacements are quality offensive players ( LA and Pau ) saying that they're average on the defensive end for their size is putting it nicely.

If Pop somehow ends up winning the chip next year with the team he currently has at his disposal I'd be very impressed and happy to be proven wrong. But like I said I doubt it. Other than winning regular season games against average opposition, Parker and Ginobili don't have much left in the tank for the playoffs when the intensity goes up a few notches. I think in terms of athleticism and speed they're gonna be outgunned by both the Clips and GSW.
