I did give up relying on omens after I used them all up in the 90's for zero return.
However did regularly notice driving home from Geelong after games at K Park in 2007, there is a sign on highway saying '44Kms' to Melb. And think there may have been one driving to Geelong saying '29 kms"?

Haha that's so weird, i've done exactly the same in each of our premiership years, that being buying a new guernsey from the cats store. Have technically already satisfied the omen already, bought a gold logo guernsey earlier this year, but as its kind of a 'special' guernsey i'm feeling a bit paranoid and thinking a need to get another one just to be sure lol! Got about 8 different ones already but im thinking another long sleeved guernsey cant hurt!

Other omens I also need to take care of

- Went to the grand final parades every year except 08- which we obviously lost. Was sick as a dog last year but no way I was missing the parade when we were going to play the Pies. Travelled 2 hours, stayed 20 mins, saw the boys and then buggered off home lol

- If (and its a big if) we by some chance we play the hawks in a grand final, I've resigned myself to sacrificing my grand final ticket to a fellow cats fan and heading down to geelong to watch the match. I havent attended a cats/hawks match since the 08 grand final, and while I know its completely absurd and irrational to think this way, i somehow feel like its a good omen if i dont attend the match.

Yep, each year of our premiership I have bought a cats jersey during finals - got a standard one in 07, Selwoods signed 150 jersey in 09, and bought my daughter a long sleeve genuine kids one last year as I thought it was starting to become an omen.....

So I am waiting a week and then ordering the gold logo jersey - been waiting all season to do so

So...how goes your tipping this year?

Somehow I like we are not favoutites - or even close to being favoutites with the footy public.

No need to keep a lid on it all season and wait and see if we pull off a flag.

We just have to sit back and see what GFC can pull off in these finals - that few expect we can win many.

Somehow I know I will still feel a bit down about any loss - even though my expectations are not as high as past years.

I still believe 2013 will be a better year for us - with so many good young players coming thru and Varcoe and Menzel back in the side.

geelong have used 38 players this year

Every game I've been to this year has been a win. Hawthorn x2, Adelaide, Sydney & Richmond @ SS, Essendon & St Kilda. 7/7 wins. I plan on attending every final this year local or interstate.

Has to be a flag on that basis.
