I did not drink before the 2007 GF and we won, but I drank quite a few before the 2008 GF.

I've been to Las Vegas three times...
2007
2009
2011
I currently am planning to attend a concert there in October

A premiership this year would make it 4/7 years
89-95 lost 4/7
A nice bit of symmetry there.

In 2009, my first daughter was born
In 2011, my second daughter was born
In 2013, my third daughter is due in December

PS. I did not father any daughters (to my knowledge) in 2007 :D

Sept 07 - 1st daughter.
Sept 09 - 2nd daughter.
Sept 11 - none that I know of...
Sept 13 - none that I know of...

Going like Noah in pairs....

Keeping my lid still....

The last time I was in Australia for a winning Geelong final was the win over Melbourne in 2005. Hopefully I am not a curse because I am in Melbourne all of September this year......

2007: I watched all of our finals and the GF. WIN.

2008: Had to miss GF day due to my auntie's wedding being on the day. Instead, I listened intently over the radio. LOSS.

2009: I watched all of our finals and the GF. WIN.

2010: I missed out on the QF because my great grandpa got sick, and I missed out on the PF while I was on a plane to Sydney. LOSS. LOSS.

2011: I watched all of our finals and the GF. WIN.

2012: Missed out on the QF because I was on a road trip. Listened over the radio. LOSS.

I've actually found that almost every single game (H&A and final) I've been forced to listen to over the radio, we've lost or played like crap. And I haven't watched a loss on TV since around 2010. So really, the only way we'll win this flag is if I'm able to watch the game. You should all hope I don't do something stupid enough to get myself grounded from watching footy.

Yeah, it would be a weak punishment for any other teenage girl. But my dad knows how much it means to me.

Lock yourself in doors! Ground yourself for the good of the team! Invest in a 'Clockwork Orange' device known as the Ludovico Transformer Treatment and make sure your watching every game.

Some odd personal ones...

I own 4 Great Danes. Bought one in 07,09 and '11. Bought a pup 5 weeks ago.

Every time I have gone to a Geelong game on my birthday we have won. My birthday is September 7. I am going to Cats/Freo this weekend.

There's no way I'm missing out this year. Hell to the no.

It's just weird. Like so weird and creepy, I have trouble accepting it. But don't worry I will be watching every single finals game this year.

2013: I had to listen to the Collingwood, Adelaide, Brisbane, GWS and GC games on the radio this year. Two of them we played like shit (we were never going to lose against GC or GWS anyway), the rest of them we lost.

2012: Last year I missed the R1 Fremantle game when I went to a party. Missed the North and Adelaide losses, had school commitments. Missed the Collingwood game while I went to some market on Sydney Road. Missed the Sydney game because I accidentally slept through it. Missed the other Collingwood loss because I went to a sleepover. Missed the WC loss because I had to go to court to give my account on something. Missed the Freo QF because we went on a road trip.

2011: Missed the Essendon and WC games while on a month's holiday in QLD. It's actually pretty hard to watch footy interstate. Got to watch only half of the Sydney game in R23.

2007 or 2009, I went with a close friend who for years told me about GFC wanting the "holy grail" of football. As Hunters and Collectors played before the first bounce, I told him it was an omen..........

Im sure you are a very responsible and intelligent young woman that completely understands the gravity of what is coming.
And should we succeed in our efforts for Greatness, I fully endorse you going completely apeshit after the win in whatever form you see fit. Till then however....dont miss a GAME!!!1

People who schedule weddings during the finals should be shot! And on Grand Final day well I am just lost for words.

2008 GF I was absolute front row, 2009 GF was absolute back row top level.

2011 I was on level 2 sitting next to Collingwood supporter who started cryib and left halfway through the 4th :)

Same goes for Easter. Shits me when people ruin a chance to go away for a week because of one day, particularly for people with kids, is hard getting away other than school hols.

I know -.- Some people just want to watch the world burn.

The only way I'd ever schedule a wedding on GF day is if it was being held at the footy.

You will have suitors out the door with an attitude like that.... Choose wisely! :p
