Probably true, but like saying that Wilt Chamberlain or Don Bradman or Babe Ruth were greats of their time some of us are only going off reports and stories.
Cruffy gatekeeps anything late 90s (has now twice been humourless to the R9 flattery) when he'd have been pre-teen at the time. Not many at that age would have got much access to the 1 TV in the house.

I probably post this link here at least once a year but you really should check out Footballia.net if you want to go off more than reports or stories. It has a massive library of old games and you can search the archives for games involving a particular player or club.
