Can't speak for EPL as I've never been to a game in my life, but I don't think it's as big of a problem in Germany. Given the fan ownership of the majority of German clubs by members, atmosphere at the ground and low ticketing prices are seen as non negotiable, and clubs will be hard pressed to push forward any major hike in prices without a significant backlash. I also think 'day fans' are pretty normal in Germany, and given they come for the atmosphere, cheap beers and a good experience, they generally create it too.

The bigger issue many of the clubs have is an ageing fan base that still wants to stay in active support areas but doesn't want to actively support. Super frustrating for people like myself, who would love to have a standing spot every two weeks behind the goals, but can't, given the waiting list for these is about 15,000 deep. However when I attend games, I see a lot of people on their phones/keeping silent when its not meant to be like that.

Tbf, early 2000s was 20 years ago and we were been rubbish for most of them, until 1-2 years ago when we stopped being so s**t. :p
We were at our most inept from a governance point of view around then though.

Yeah it's all sounding like rubbish from the board to make themselves the victims.

This reminds me of that time Ed Woodward hired a former Sun journalist to improve his PR and then almost immediately afterward a group of fans show up to his house whilst the family were away and a team of paparazzi were conveniently waiting out front to document everything.

Finally getting rid of the taint of Potter.

“At full-time at the Amex on Saturday, Brighton were the top-scoring side across Europe’s top-five leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Bundesliga), in all competitions, since the post-World Cup resumption — 17 goals and scoring at an average of once every 26.5 minutes.

Just for that, I hope Everton gets relegated and I don’t have to deal with you in the PL MD threads. :)

I barely even post in the PL threads, or is this still a sook because a controversial incident merited discussion?

I didn’t even know you could check a persons posts on thread data. Can you then select that persons entire posting history on the thread? I know other forums can do that.

Top of every page there is a top contributors button for each thread. Not sure if you can then see everyone’s individual posts though.
