2-0 up at half time in the Club World Cup.

Interesting from the commentary, that Fluminense were in the third division in the late 80's, the same time we were in the 3rd division.
Must have been bought by Oil Money too

Just about every European association has scrapped their secondary cup competition.

Klopp rightly has a problem with 12.30 kick offs following international breaks or short turnarounds from mid week games. Should not happen full stop. Doesn't have a problem with them otherwise.

So you support scrapping the EFL Cup. Cool, conversation done.

This isn’t a tweet for Manchester United supporters to get excited about. It’s a tweet for opposition supporters to click on. It looks like it worked.

It's a genuine article on a genuine news website. Manchester United really do control the media.

It’s from a publication in Manchester. It’s not exactly national media. Nothing to see here.
I had a look at the picture of the guy who wrote the article. He looks like he started on a United Blog at 12 years of age and then 2 years later is now the Chief United writer at the MEN.

It shouldn't though. Ronaldo at that age was extremely raw. I definitely thought that Rooney was going to be a much better player at the time.

Yeah, Ronaldo was very inconsistent at that age. Put in some decent performances but often it was full of step overs and nothing else. He only become very good 3-4 years into his United career. I agree that Rooney was the better player at the same age, he was very good with Everton and came to United and had a ridiculous start (hattrick on debut) and was generally just more consistent.

I do miss those days when those two linked up in attack. Not much better in the PL at the time.

Apparently some guy is suing Liverpool. The club said they were looking to hire someone with "experience of working in an elite sporting environment". He said he worked for Spurs, and the club didn't respond.
