Yes, we know.

It shows how Manchester United are viewed on here compared to other clubs. We have had 3-4 VAR calls go against us (including a penalty shout which was a penalty, in an eventual 1-1 draw) post-City and not a single post about those. Andy Carroll takes out Christian Eriksen, amongst other shitty fouls he did during the game, not a single post about those, except to post the link that Eriksen is out for weeks and you joking about it. And yet, when we get a VAR call going our way, everyone on here sulks about it for pages and pages and drops it randomly into conversations weeks later. 😂
Utter piffle.

i think the manchester derby had a few more eyes on it than the fa cup 5th round vs a championship side.

2011 Qatar, 2019 UAE. That's 4 out of 5 tournaments in the Gulf States. It's a wonder how we hosted it, but thankfully we pinched one.
I mean there's only 47 eligible hosts, many countries that wouldn't have any infrastructure to host such a tournament and only 36 teams have made the tournament in general. It is bound to happen.

Teams definitely nowhere near hosting the tournament would be: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Yemen, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Syria, Iraq, North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Brunei, Afghanistan, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Timor Leste.

China were hosting this year's tournament but pulled out due to chasing covid zero.

Up steps South Korea who haven't hosted the tournament since 1960. Right next door to China, modern stadiums ready to go. A suitable climate for the tournament.

AFC turns around and gives it to Qatar (who hosted in 2011). It looks like the tournament may have to be played in Jan 2024 which causes other issues (Jun 2023 it is 45+ degrees every day - same problem as Qatar 2022).

Japan hasn't hosted for ages.

Thailand/Malaysia/Vietnam are capable of hosting. Indonesia can host. Australia obviously.

ME nations should only be hosting every 3rd tournament. Unfortunately oil money is running AFC at the moment. Been discussed in other threads but the likes of Japan/Korea/Australia/China may actually break away and make an East Asian confederation, absorbing NZ and OFC.

And dont count North Korea out - they've got very good stadiums, the world's best ever football manager (Kim Jong) and would love to host the event as a sportswashing exercise!

Pool mods will ban me for life for this post but facts are facts.

Always good to check your facts

Subjective score - 0.

All other decusions were absolute and had to be given. Offzide etc. We even had one goal where 2 fouls were conmitted by the opponent in the lead up disallowed (and some of their fans complsined lol)

Another thing those stats dont even include Arsenal away which is the biggest shafting any side has had in the PL by VAR this season by far.

The sides that have done the best out of VAR are the ones with the biggest positive difference for subjective decisions.

What it doesn't track is non-overturns.
