Love this photo, can zoom in and see the different reactions from players and supporters.

A going of beauty, should be hung on a wall at the Louvre.

I agree, the Louvre Abu Dhabi would be the right place for it. Quite symbolic considering the corruption & human rights abuse associated with the Abu Dhabi Louvre,

they can place it next to the liverpool tears exhibit.

Czech international Jakub Jankto becomes the first active men's international footballer to come out as gay. A monumental moment for the sport. Sad that it takes so much bravery for someone to be their authentic self, but Jakub's braveness will be an inspiration for so many young people all around the world.

it's pretty bad that my first instinct looking at the comments under his announcement was going to be how awful it is, but it's so full of positivity. genuinely lovely.

It's people replying to the PL etc that somehow make it awful. Usually the african/muslims because of their religion.

Semi automated offsides is the way to go. Individual tracking of all players and the ball is a pretty fail safe way of getting offsides correct. Also allows you to nail the ball release time down very accurately (ball has sensors inside it that detect when it is played). And the few times where there's an obstructed view VAR can go to the replay.

Pure evil capitalist greed that in general business is genius, but for a football club is sad

1. Charge customers more than anyone else (Man U with a much large attendance only 4m higher)

2. Pay your staff as little as possible

3. Pay yourself as much as possible

4. Claim as much depreciation and amortisation as possible to bring real profits down and pay no tax

And we know what's coming next, Art_Vandelay disagrees with this. Before you do, take it up with the Swiss Ramble and Deloitte I'm just passing on their facts!

We went through all this during the WC and it was clear that the semi-automated VAR for offsides also got things wrong.

Such as the blatant wrong offside against Argentina in their Saudi Arabia game. Canada were robbed of a penalty against Belgium. Buchanan was tripped in the area. Offside was given but it clearly came off a Belgian player.

Also the graphics were less clear than if we saw still images of the real action.

Just go back to trusting humans ffs. VAR has always been a crock of shit

That’s when they all won the rights, in 2018. It would have been a first if the hosts had to qualify.

Yeah pretty sure it's very old news. Every piece of coverage I've heard about the WC has referred to them all as having already qualified. Weird tweet.
