My mistake, when I seen reduced I assumed that meant reduced by 1 game, not down to 1 game.


A 1 game ban for that tackle is simply an outrage. I can't imagine any professional football league that would issue a 1 game ban for that challenge.

It's usually two games in la liga for a straight red but can be three for violent conduct. How they got to one, other than wanting Mbappe available to play Barca in the cup final, is anyone's guess

It was a red card in the league. Unless they do things differently in Spain, would he have missed the cup final for a red card received in the league?

Real Madrid also play Barcelona in the league, but first they play Bilbao, Getafe and Celta Vigo in the league, and then Barcelona. If we are talking about a standard 3 game red card suspension, Mbappe would have played against Barcelona in the league anyway.
