I must have missed all the articles about Leicester's financial problems in the lead up to the FA Cup final.

Did you post one out of interest?
Oh right, because you don't like the news, it shouldn't be reported.

It's ok mate, I'm sure your beloved A League will be just fine.

Yes it will be.

You must have missed the part where the GF sold out by Tuesday afternoon after going on sale Monday smack bang in the middle of AFL season. Or that Auckland sold out their semi final 7 days in advance.

Obviously this type of A-League news is filtered out by yourself.

You're right, we should completely ignore what's going on with the foundation club and pat yourself on the back because a whole lot of bandwagoners have come out of the woodwork for a local derby grand final.

Now, would you like to have a crack at vocalising some thoughts on the issues currently faced by Brisbane or would you like to keep jumping at shadows due to some inferiority complex.

In regards to the A-League Grand Final, yes. It's absolutely irrelevant.

If you want to discuss Brisbane Roar, come on over to the Football Australia forum.

Jatz will just ignore anyone who dismantles his points, as he's doing here.

Let's post another article/image about Auckland's crowd. That'll be better to discuss, not the bad parts.

No one's ignoring the bad parts. Concerning situation at WUN too, but it's tiring when the same people just pop up death riding the league. Bit weird to be so invested only in the league failing. He even commented on Auckland saying the crowds don't matter because they'll drop off in a few years. Proper weird.

Should we really posting about Manchester United on this thread when they already have there own thread, and finished in the bottom half of the EPL, and are not even in any European competitions next season?

You wouldn’t really post about any clubs European exploits in this thread. That is what the CL, EL and Conference League threads are intended for. But if you wanted to post about how crap you think Manchester United are in this thread, knock yourself about.

All I meant was posting a Cricket article should be going in this thread https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/the-association-football-cricket-thread.1123485/

I'm still confused as to why people are still posting about Manchester United on this thread when they have there own forum.

Most opposition supporters won’t venture in an opposition clubs thread, so they’ll come here to on-topic thread, which is used as a football thread.

Because they will. First season, doing well... it's always going to start high and go lower. A-league has a history of this.

I do to get gratification when you talk about me.

Possibly, or possibly they'll build on the momentum and succeed? Why should we cheer for them dropping off? Or not celebrate the big crowds they're getting? Some people just seem to want to deathride the local league and it's a bit embarrassing. I don't care if you don't care about it or don't watch it, but wanting it to fail is weird.

I don't see anyone cheering it. I see realism. I think people get sick of hearing tyre pumping regarding the A-league. Maybe they're just complete opposites but from where I come from - decent league, I watched Adelaide a lot on TV (never went to games because it was a PITA to get from where I was living), but that's about it. Attendances have factually fallen away, quality has gone down.

Factually fallen away despite this season averaging more than last season and averaging the most since pre-Covid? That's certainly a take.

You say people are sick of the tyre pumping but no one was talking about the A-League in here until Jatz posted a random article about Brisbane.

Thanks for those stats actually, a lot of teams experiencing their best crowds in quite some time.

Adelaide United are 2k down on their best, Brisbane 10k, CCM 10k, Melbourne City 5k, MVC 15k, Perth 4k, Sydney 3k, Wellington 3k, WSW 8k. Overall the average per game is down 6k.

"Best crowds in some time" - affected by COVID. Only 2 teams are up on their pre-covid numbers.

Are we looking at the same numbers? Adelaide's best numbers since 2015/16, Macarthur's best season, Brisbane struggling but doing shit on field so unsurprising, CCM last year was best since 15/16, Newcastle year on year improving recently, Perth best post-COVID year, Sydney second best year since 16/17, Wellington second best year post-COVID (and they've been shit this year on-field), WUN second best year.

How can you say attendances have 'factually' fallen away?

I said 2 teams up on their numbers, not including the newer teams. I also said they'd fallen away from their starting numbers. See evidence below.
