This is not a political issue. Iranian state propagnadists threatened womens national players on live national tv for their protests against the regime during the national anthem.


With Iran's history of women's rights there was a very real threat to their safety. Hence the request for asylum in Australia.

I think Frank is suggesting that Trump is the hero for getting them asylum and them chanting "Aussie Ausssie Aussie" is incredibly meanspirited and not recognising the true hero of the affair.
