Danny Welbeck closing in on playing more games and scoring more goals for the Albion than his stints at Man U or Arsenal.

Which club will be be associated most with though once he retires?

Probably Utd as he came through as a junior. Don't think too many will remember his Arsenal stint.

Not that my opinion matters but I remember him as a United player more than anywhere else.

What was wrong with that lol, he was having a laugh like pretty much everyone in football has about the Tindall rule.
Was it said in jest? Klopp spends so much time crying to the media and playing the victim that it's hard to know when he's joking.

True, but he will always have a special place in Arsenal fans' hearts.

Haha one of my favourite games. The ridiculous selfies and carry on...all to watch us win the title anyway.

Of course, because nobody is allowed the enjoy individual moments anymore. Any joy during the season is immediately invalidated if you don't win the whole bloody competition.

That carry on was never about one individual moment.

I assure you, I know/remember absolutely everything about that season. They were widely mocked for it in the months after.

Seriously, what on earth are you talking about? That goal literally is what kept Arsenal in the title race. If celebrating a huge moment in the context of a season is going worthy of being widely mocked, we should all pack and go home.

Will Carlton be mocked for celebrating Saturday is we don't go on and win the flag? Bet you celebrated winning the league that year. What a fool, seeing as you were relegated 8 years later.

Weird.

I once thought of him as a poor man's Daniel Sturridge but Welbeck has endured after a few serious injuries. He can hold his head high whenever he returns to Man U, Arsenal or Brighton.

I'm sorry Jatz but either playing or as a spectator sport is about moments. That dopamine hit, the adrenaline rush.
Lots of us would play sport recreationally either as a way to stay fit, interact with a social group of friends or just for the enjoyment.

Those moments of success live with you forever, and that is the same as a fan in the stands.
I could rattle off heaps of moments that fit the bill from my own sporting journey, not that I'll bore anyone. And even more from watching my teams over the years.

Especially as at that moment in time, it’s massive for you/team/fans. You don’t know what will happen in the future but to score a later winner that can potentially win you a title etc is euphoric.

How many other games were they carrying on and taking selfies in the changing rooms? Oh that's right, none. Funny that.

It's not too dissimilar to Harry Kane posting his stupid lion picture on social media in the run in. That worked out equally as well for him.

Didn't say they shouldn't be excited, it was just over the top.

Arsenal were funnily enough the only team to beat us twice that campaign. Still couldn't get within 10 points of us.

As for this, yes, we absolutely would. If they all carried on after beating the Gold Coast and then didn't deliver when it counted, they should be mocked (and you can bet opposition fans would mock us).

The team would deserve to be mocked but policing fans who celebrate because it might go **** up defeats the whole purpose of supporting a team.

I don't disagree. I more meant the opposition fans would mock the players for prematurely celebrating.

I don't think anyone begrudges supporters from celebrating, particularly when they've been starved of success.

Especially where opposition supporters only focus on what a certain group of supporters might say on social media. I have genuinely not seen a single Carlton board poster saying we could win the flag. That’s a main board/social media type of attitude. It is what it is. Can’t police people’s thoughts.

Yeah that’s true, but even then, who cares what other fans might say. If I was you I’d be dreaming of winning the flag, you should be all in on your boys at the moment.

And yeah if you choke people like me will have a laugh but so what.
