Heaton, Vardy and Charlie Austin into the England squad.

Jamie Vardy's havin' a party! Good ol' Woy's is bringin' the Charlie (Austin)!

Jamie vardy for england.

They wonder why there team is ******* shite when he is getting picked.

Most of their younger players are at the U21s (and as I'm sure you're aware, Young is injured... just saying that since this seems to be a common complaint). All things considered. If you had to pick 4 strikers with what was left, Vardy would get that spot. He's one of the main reasons why Leicester's in the Premier League still. He could work on his finishing, but when you've got as many assists as Eden Hazard in open play, while playing for a newly promoted team, that's is definitely worth a look.

Also, he absolutely destroyed the Southampton defenders, the same ones that are in the squad. You think that's a good enough reason?

But could he do it again, or against Germany, or Argentina or even against us.

Most international teams would not pick him but Woy still likes grit over technique.

That reminds me... Aloisi got a brace against Germany and Argentina (He's still awesome though. Always delivered on the international stage.)

Look, the point for Vardy is that he's not going to be playing against Germany and Argentina. He's playing Ireland and Slovenia.

He's there for the experience, and well, for Roy to try something new. Vardy brings a few things that England team doesn't have: His sheer persistence and forward pressure. That England team is same-old and boring. Even their subs are the same type. There are no options, just replacements. Vardy is a breath of fresh air that English team needs. He will open so many opportunities to his fellow strikers that only his pressure creates, which is exactly what he did during that hot run. If Woy is willing to play a high tempo, high energy game, you're going to get some excellent results from Vardy. He will assist the team in getting those goals.

Vardy's a confidence player. The fact that he's merely being selected... you let him loose on that pitch, and I guarantee that he'll have 50 million new fans.

I'm not expecting Vardy to have any more appearances in the England squad, he's purely there due to the current circumstances. But if he does impress... you never know.

Hopefully with at least one cap, that means that Leicester officially has an English International Pairing up front! (Nugent has one cap and one goal.)

Don't think Pearson deserves it if I'm honest. Yes it was a great escape but that only happened because we were terrible for a big chunk of the season.

Koeman is a good shout. Monk has done better for less than Jose but i think Mou deserves it.

Koeman or Mourinho for mine. Koeman has done a remarkable job when you consider how many XI players they lost during the summer. Rebuilt the remains into an arguably even more impressive team.

Don't know much about Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein but if he is the only one now opposing Blatter, he might be a breath of fresh air.

Gomis is an interesting one. Think I read he's on somewhere close to 80k? 10 goals and 0 assists plus I think Rough_Edges wasn't too pleased with some of his performances during the season IIRC?

Cresswell has been amazing for West Ham too. Very worthy selection in the top 5 IMO.

Nice to see Santiago Munez Perez getting a mention too though where's the Ginger Pirlo??? 4 goals, 5 assists, 3 Man of the match awards and a successful passing percentage of 87.7% - all from a free transfer, come on... :D

I wasn't too please with Bafetmbi until he started scoring for fun ;)

I was annoyed at him when during January he was fuelling his own transfer talk trying to get an out. Very frustrating.

Yeah would have been pretty annoying given he's only a recent arrival! Hopefully for Swansea fans, he doesn't do the same again this coming window! :p

Carver was robbed IMO.

The best value signings this season in the PL according to the telegraph.

You'll like the number 1 Fryer Tuck . In my biased opinion, they're right though.

Couple of odd suggestions. Not sure Costa at 32 mil is 'value'. He's done what's expected of him really.

very surprised that gylfi isn't top 5. for starters, the guy ahead of him on the list cost more and did less.

definitely agree on cambiasso. struggled to get up to pace early on but those last 8 or so games was possibly the most important player in the league

Yeah Gylfi should definitely be top 5. Some good names and some 'interesting' names in there.

Ridiculous Gylfi is at 14. Just madness, and no way he cost 8m.

7 goals and 10 assists - clearly top 5 for mine.

Fabianski signing of the season IMO

Vardy is tied with Eden for the number of assists this season.

Did anyone see the comparison between Bale and Hazard? Bale was superior in most aspects and yet is getting told he's having a shit season. Hazard is being lauded as the best thing since sliced bread.

Hazard is an amazing talent but i do think he's overrated a little bit.

Maybe his season has been overrated is a better way to put that.

I do love watching the little magician at work.

I think it has too TBH, his stats are almost exactly the same as last year. Some on here carry on like he's our only avenue to goal too, but to me Matic, Terry, Costa and Fab have all been as important to our team as Hazard. Plus if Kun had stayed fit he would have won POTY.

But that's not to say Eden had another fantastic season for us.
