133 more crosses than Liverpool last season. 134 more the season before. This is all while having significantly less possession of the ball (49% vs 56% last season)

Funnily enough when Liverpool finished 7 3 years ago they had more crosses than Aston Villa. I think we can all agree we'd be happy for them to go back to that style & league position!

Finished 7th because they didn't have Benteke to finish off the crosses.

We'll see, but barring injury, Benteke will get more than 10 goals for Liverpool, and I dare say likely to get more than 15.

He would have done well at David Moyes Man Utd. I think they broke a record for the amount of crosses in one game. Problem was none of them were any good.

If they weren't good crosses how would he have done well?

which means the only scores from crosses argument is completely wrong

that table summed it up best. while villa had more crosses, many of them didnt eventuate to any chances

8 crosses + 5 corners = the 13 headed goals at Villa.

Comparing total cross numbers between two sides of such different possession % stakes is naive. If you have the ball less you'd be expected to have less crosses no?

Saying that a side that provides him with more chances to score will result in him scoring less is far worse.

Where have I said that a majority of his goals come from headers and that he wouldn't score without heading the ball? I've said he will have to play in a completely different method at Liverpool to which he has at Villa. That includes more than just how he scores his goals, more to do with how the ball is moved to the front man being completely different. If you think Villa under Lambert or Sherwood play anything like Rodgers' Liverpool side I don't think there's anything more to discuss.

I don't think anyone apart from you has said that at all. I think we've all said he's a very adaptable player who scores in a number of ways.

why would he have to play in a different style if the majority of his goals dont come through the style his team was playing before?
He will be playing in a team that plays completely different to what he has come from. Of course he is going to have to make some changes to his game. Just like he wouldn't play exactly the same for Belgium playing alongside guys like Hazard as he did at Villa with N'Zogbia and Agbonlahor.

Good thing he's proven himself to be very adaptable. :)
