Don't know about you guys, but this suggests to me that Chelsea has historically been a top 10 club, and definitely the biggest in the area. The only down spot is that decade where Chelsea were in Tier 2. Otherwise, their crowds have always been up there.

Chelsea also would have been the first English team to play in the European Cup-however the FA disallowed them

Re: the discussion on sledging from a few pages back, though we probably do cop it more than most, the banter goes all directions and between all clubs, and 99.99% of it is light hearted/in good humour and is taken as such (despite the majority of it being rehashing of the same jokes over & over again - this goes for supporters of all clubs! For 'no history' or 'plastic clubs' read, 'always victims', 'only 1 club in Manchester' or some witty remark on crime rates or domestic violence).

It's only a small minority of posters who choose to make a drama out of each and every jibe sent in their club's direction despite telling anyone who'll listen that it's water off a duck's back and it actually doesn't bother them in the slightest.

Personally don't think the banter is that much of an issue. Obviously some are upset by it but I think that's more an individual problem than a wider issue with the supporters of any club(s) in particular.
