As would I in an ideal world, but unless you change the structure of your squad to include more home grown players then you'll be faced with the same Bony in/Jojo out problem with your transfer dealings this summer.

Obviously the CL squad restrictions placed on City as part of the FFP sanctions this season will be alleviated, but your ability to sign foreigners will still be limited as 3 of the 4 extra squad spaces freed up will be for home grown players.

I don't know, we might differ on this but my feeling is that if you have to have English players in your squad, then it makes sense to not waste those spaces and make sure you get the best available, and Barkley is up there.

Edit: not sure if this has been covered, but does Pogba count as 'homegrown'?

If I had the chance to see more of Zola(had limited options to watch Chels back in those days) he would have probably come close, by the time Hazard has neared his end he'll be there abouts too I think and there's Lamps who I love but not quite as much as Dids.

Yeah was just on the SkySports website before and saw the headline and thought, "Oh no, Lukaku is really driving a dagger into the Everton fans hearts here", then I read the article and he just says he wants to improve and eventually arrive at a top club again.
