Fozzie is more of an Adam Peacock of the podcast with the lunatic Cruyff/Bozza & resident one eyed commentator Robbie Slater played by a Spurs/United guest most weeks
Good shout. The Peacock comparison sits better. All the way down to his mournful references to Newcastle's impending relegation matching up with mine last season about Hull. :(

also a shame the gen football fans dont realise how big this achieve is start of the season got a new coach new football manager new ceo and new home base.
was winless and bottom at round 8.
First team in Australian sporting history to do it. No one seems to care. Very sad.
I have this discussion with mates, but the thing with the A-League is it always seems to have two or three distinct sections to it which play completely differently. My example was WSW not scoring for 5 matches or whatever and completely turning it around from there, which wasn't the best since they were still drawing, but my memory is that you don't have to care about form in the early season because there's plenty of time to change it. I guess it's the fact you play everyone three times too - everyone gets to know each other after the start of the season and you get more reliable trends from then on.

And on the PL relegation thing, has anyone else noticed that after Norwich Sunderland they both play Arsenal, and in their last two games they both play Everton and Watford. If Sunderland wins on the weekend, it will be a true test to see who is the best between them. If Norwich lose I think Sam will do the job for the BlackCats.

Having now played in an afl comp without finals I can definitely tell you it's a flat feel compared to finals and grand finals

Only if you don't finish first, which is kind of the point isn't it? Surely it's more enjoyable finishing first and knowing you've properly won the comp?

Would you prefer the PL to have finals and grand finals? Or is this only in relation to AFL?

Finishing fourth and winning a GF or finishing first and winning the league would feel the same I'd imagine. You're the champ after all. But going into the last game and not having to beat the next best team to claim it feels a bit funny personally
