I'm not trying to stir shit but I've always seen it written that United, Barca and Madrid are way out in front of everyone else but it's Arsenal that comes closest to them.

Would people agree in saying Liverpool would be the most supported club in Australia? The Harry Kewell factor would have played a huge hand in driving up those numbers when so many new fans flocked to the sport after WC qualification in 05 IMO.
You can go back to Craig Johnston for further boosting Liverpool support in Australia. Ive lived in Australia all my life and have traveled right around it. Without doubt IMO we have the most support of any EPL clubs in Australia. I see LFC fans everywhere.

Liverpool haven't won a league title in how long yet still have such a massive following? They've been in about 2 title races in 20 years yet they fill the MCG and stadiums in Indonesia. I could handle Arsenal possibly thinking they are on or above Liverpool's level of support, but Chelsea is just ludicrous.
I don't think anyone thinks we're on the same level as United/Pool, but we are a massive club nowadays.

Of course but Chelsea's support in Asia and India would be dwarfed by our support in those regions.

As I said it's United and Liverpool way out in front. Then Arsenal some way back and then even further back to Chelsea I'd say.
How would you really know?

Well there were a couple of posters in this very thread trying to suggest as much. Chelsea certainly are a massive club, Roman and his oil money have made it so. The recent success the club has had in the last decade certainly helps too.

Chelsea would still be very far behind Liverpool and United. Look at Liverpool, we havent won the league in 25 years or so. Yet the following we have worldwide is still ridiculous and if anything, continues to grow.

Nobody really knows unless you polled the entire world and asked each person which football team they support.

From everything I know about football, having watched for so long, having seen what goes on around the world, particularly when teams do the pre season stuff in different parts of the world. There just seems to be a certain hysteria with Liverpool and United around the world. I havent seen that with Chelsea or Arsenal etc.

I guess statistics suggest we aren't as far back as you think and the gap is closing, we have another decade like we did and you did and we'd be even closer.

Romans money and winning a lot has been the key, but thats no different to any other big club.

I dont think it's as easy as that. Liverpool and United have become the global forces they are through decades upon decades or success. You cant simply catch up in a few years. The money helps and if you stay successful that will help too but you have a long, long way to go before you catch either Liverpool or United for global reach IMO.

I was talking in decades not years. And I'm not saying we'll be bigger than those too but the gap is certainly closing. But the reason we're getting fans is the same as every other big club.

But in saying that give me bigger revenue over world wide support any day.

A lot of Liverpool's support came from a 25 year stretch when they were winning everything.

Same as Man United.

Early days for Chelsea. Earlier days for us.

I'm not particularly bothered if we're ever seen as one of the biggest clubs. As long as the finances work out who really cares?

Arsenal are probably the ones that havent really had that long period of dominance, but they did get a huge boost in their global support around the "unbeatables era".

Some ppl take me way too seriously and get suspended for it lel
Joking about your forlorn upbringing was taking you seriously? Haha OK then sunshine

The only time I will take you seriously is if you make another blatantly sexist remark. You're just like FAITH in that you only offer comical value and second-rate trolling. The difference between you and her is that she was quicker to learn her role.

Lol TBH you've been very angry since I said Chelsea wouldn't be facing Real Madrid in the CL this season because they're shit.

The London clubs are more attractive. That's why you don't see Man City growing as fast as the other sugar daddy club Chelsea even though they are trying really hard.

Man United and Liverpool will continue to fall away unless they get a sugar daddy too

Lmao Real Madrid are nowhere near it either. You'll disappear for another two months after Atletico embarrass you again. I would much rather be in our position than yours. You won't win the league and you're just making up numbers in the CL.

I know Chelsea would prefer not to play in La Liga because your manager sucked there. He is in a better place now and I'm happy for him because he can finish behind Liverpool and get knocked out by French teams and still have job security, good on him

For all the billions you guys spend you are barely even the best team in Madrid, let alone La Liga. Plus you have the same amount of UCL wins as us since our sugar daddy came along and made us able to compete at the highest level.

Plus winning the league is sucking, you've got a weird take on reality.

Growing fans. Revenue is pretty dodgy so I don't pay attention to how clubs report it
????United have more fans than any other sporting club in the world. I'm not particularly worried either as club location is not always a deciding factor.

I'd say the people in charge are very happy with the growth in our global fanbase.

Personally I couldnt give a shite. If you want to support us, fine. If you don't, fine.

What also helped Arsenal and IMO makes them the 3rd biggest UK club globally is that this period came at the time of the FIFA & Pro Evo boom on gaming systems. Sounds simplistic but I know a few people who got into football and a team by playing games like that in the late 90s early 2000s
