This is bloody impressive: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Ahme...y-appearance/story-26142594-detail/story.html

66 consecutive PL appearances must be close to the top? I know Lamps has 165 or something but surely it drops off pretty quickly out that for outfield players.

EDIT: Been doing a bit of research and Matt Holland (115) and Jon Walters (102) seem to be the only two over 100. If Elmo plays our last ten games and then starts the first 27 of next season he'll be top three.

Very impressive! Made even more so that apparently he's started every one of those games (not sure if consecutive games counts if you start on the bench and then come on) and I think it said has only been subbed off just once in that run of games?

You could say he must be pretty durable and fit to not need any breaks/rests playing in the combative and robust PL. Would also suggest (hand of Elmo goal aside haha) that he's a fairly clean player (given he doesn't seem to have been suspended during Hull's stay in the top flight to date).

Yeah and I think he started every game for us dating back to the start of his loan from Sunderland the previous season in the Championship, so he's actually played something like 90 consecutive games for us all up. Pretty freakish in a season where we've had so many injuries.

He is a very clean player, that handball aside, he just has zero ability to use his left foot lol.

Don't know how late I am with this one but apparently Kompany and Fernandinho had a blue in the dressing room after the Liverpool game and that's why Kompany was dropped against Leicester.

Mirror are reporting it though, so it probably never happened.

I very much doubt the captain would be the one to get dropped if that indeed happened.

Agreed, especially for a new player.

He's just in shit form.

I felt sorry for those 2, not sure how it's been for the rest of the season but they were repeatedly hung out to dry by Yaya, Nasri & Silva not covering back in that game. If anything Kompany & Fernandinho should've been dishing out backhands to those 3.

Yaya has never tracked back, Silva and Nasri more attacking players. Its a consequence of our basketball style of game and you can only presume its done with Pellegrini's blessing seeing as it's been happening for 18 months.

those exact same 3 also played the same way last season and we won the league. everyone should be taking responsibility for their poor performances. if vinny wants to have a tanty after being told he's been crap then that's on him.

We had the same problems last year though. Only were scoring a lot more.

We've conceded exactly the same as we conceded after 28 games last season(27, nearly a goal a game) but scored 17 less.

Under Pellegrini it seems you're always going to want to score 2 or 3 to guarantee the points.

Personally thought our best run last year came at the end when Kun was injured and we were forced to play an extra man in midfield.

Apparently he was the one instigating it and had to be pulled away by team mates and staff. It would make perfect sense for him to be dropped if that was the case.

Would like Carlo at Arsenal but that's not happening haha.

Madrid to announce De gea signing? ;)

or Fellanini + 20 mil for Ronaldo swap?

Or selling Bale after one average game?

Who has been the player of the season so far lads? Not as clear cut as last year. Most of the best performed players have all had dry patches.

My top five would have to be (opinion may be biased)...

1. David De Gea
2. Alexis Sanchez
3. Eden Hazard
4. Sergio Aguero
5. Nemanja Matic

Thoughts?

Yeah Fabregas and Costa would've been in the hat as well but they've dropped off a bit in recent months, Kane and Coutinho probably the best performed since the new year. Agree with the 5 you've listed but honestly it's quite difficult to pick 1 from that group, there are no clear standouts as there were with Suarez & Yaya last season or Suarez & Bale the year before.
